Closed Cannot host/join server since Furious Koala update?

A friend and I were waiting for the oncoming update as he grew bored of the game upon reaching the highest tier of armor. He was usually the host while I joined, but he could join my server when I was the host as well. Everything was working fine.

Since the Furious Koala update, it just seems...Not to work anymore. I dunno if there's any reason for it. Neither of us can join each other's server. I dunno if something specific has been changed upon that update. We played right after the first update, didn't work. There was a second update for reasons I ignore, it didn't work either, then the 3rd and last update of Furious Koala didn't seem to affect us in any positive ways whatsoever.

Is there something we can do to fix it, go play inside some of the files or something? It is curious it stopped working right as Furious Koala came along.
