Can you move ship pets off the ship?

    I am playing Starbound with my friend, and we are planning to live on the same ship, so that we can save fuel and stuff. Is there a way that he can move his ship's pet onto my ship so that it won't be abandoned?

    no, I want him to be able to take the ferret from his ship and put it on my ship. Is that possible? I'm trying to have as few mods as possible

    There is no way to do that afaik. Iirc the pet is bound to SAIL because it's acting like a spawner and the mod i linked changes that.

    Your current pet shouldn't be deleted because the spawner information is already on sail.
