Can you fly back up to your ship?

even if this wouldn't be put in the game, somebody could maybe make a mod of it?

 

Dropship was the original idea I think. One of the first pics they put up was a dropship that seemed to be a hybrid of a UH-60 with the dropship design from Halo, and a few guys with M41A Pulse Rifles off Aliens. You were supposed to have a giant spaceship that is like a giant factory-lab in space too, but now it seems they replaced it with a smaller ship and Megaman-styled teleporting. I liked the older ideas way better, but what the devs have made will do.

 

I hope so. It would give me a good reason to expend resources on building a space hellavator on my base planet.

 

Now c'mon, that's good old-fashioned fun no matter where your ship is.

I guess you could call it that as well... If you are thinking about the space capsule I mentioned I'm thinking about something like this:

They could of course be different sizes and function differently, and carry more than human size creatures if the spaceship is big enough.

 

"The money was too good. I got stupid... I'm sorry okay?"

 

Depending on exactly what sort of mechanisms/traps are offered, there might also be the possibility of nuking/flooding the planet from orbit. People might do crazy things if there was a liquid duplicating glitch, for example....

There's no question that orbital cannons are inherently awesome, but just trust me when I say magma makes every superweapon better.

 

It could work without ruining the scale of your ship, if there was a cutscene to indicate that you've entered your ship, rather than it being on the actual map, within range for ANYONE that finds the planet to enter and bug you endlessly. As in: If you get high enough into the sky, a cutscene will activate showing you and your party members entering the ship, and if, say, someone was following that wasn't in your party, they would engage a cutscene for only themselves that would show them entering their own ship.
