Can this game be played without mob interaction?

I love games like this BUT I really don't like mobs. If I get this game can I play it without mobs/pve?

Wow... a lot of people play this... how did I miss this game so long... I just thought "Terraria clone... next."

 

I do not think there is a way to play without hostile creature interaction. In fact there are more hostile creatures now then most of the older updates.

What I miss is a way, be it a piece of gear or whatever, that would protect you from low tier mobs completely when you advance enough ingame.
For example lets say you're already wearing the fourth or 5th tier of armour, then the basic mobs would touch you and they would take damage from that wile you youdn't take any damage OR always take 1 damage from them.

 

I'd rather them just ignore me completely, maybe similar to Royal Gel that makes slimes ignore you, or just not take any damage, without doing damage to them.

 

got it.. it may be worth to ask a modder to do so.
