Can the furry races and cliches just.. stop

All these sentient canines, wolves, cat people, and general cliches make me want to vomit. It's way too cliche and it's probably been suggested hundreds of times on this forum anyway. What the developers are looking for is something unique and new, not something people suggest every five minutes half finished, sometimes with only a paragraph describing the new race. What I've seen so far with the Oscura, and the Blattra, and the Volans is what they're probably looking for, and which is why they are some of the most popular suggestions here. I'm tired of furry fans posting their mind decaying dribble on here, no offence of course, but it makes me want to kill myself everytime I see an unoriginal piece of garbage. I can't say much because I haven't suggested anything so far, but I enjoy reading the original suggestions, and hate to see all this crap filling up the forums.

 

I can understand your frustration with the poorly-thought-out race ideas, but... let's be honest here. Ranting about them and calling them out, the furries in particular, isn't going to make them stop. It's just going to get them posted even more frequently just to spite you.

Really cannot see how this thread is not going to get locked.

Furry themed races are not the norm (unless you count Avians/Apex, but I don't) They're introduced to the community via fan made mods.

If you don't like them, you don't have to use them, but they will always be there to cater to those who do like them. complaints like these serve no purpose other than to piss off the targetted group.

If you really feel like discussing the furry race suggestions/mods then please do so without blatantly flaming a bunch of people.

 

I agree, and I knew I would get negative feedback from this. However if I don't say it, then people who have the same opinion as me won't be able to do anything. I doubt they would, but I also don't want to see the developers put an unoriginal idea in the vanilla game, because I want Starbound to be different from the rest. I understand that people who are fans of furry culture and what not will get annoyed, but as you said everyone has their right to an opinion, they may not have the right to voice it everywhere they go, but hey that's the way the world works. There will always be people who don't like your idea, and you've just got to accept that negative feedback as criticism.
