can someone please update the loader page of the game?

ugh... I hate it when a thread gets locked right as I'm about to reply... like... literally a minute before I hit submit button...
but I'm not about to restart THAT discussion, so let me just get straight to my point I was trying to make:

developers left the front page splash screen (where you see the lovely notices about game updates and whatnot) on the last update that happened before valentines day nearly 3 months ago.

now, I'm not about to start debating if the game is still being update, or why it's not, or why it is, or how long, etc etc.

all I know is, because it got left off on an update that was stating updates should start happening nearly daily...
and then literally -nothing- for nearly 3 months, not only did I think the game had suddenly died off, but everyone I personally know ALSO thought so as well.

so... "can someone please update the loader page of the game?" even if it's just to say 'hey, sorry for the lack of info, we got stuck doing something for the last couple months, but rest assured we're still alive' it's better then just leaving everyone hanging.

and before anyone counters with 'then they should read the forums' I can tell you, from personal experience of actually hosting forums once or twice, playing online games for many years, even interacting as guild leader a few times (where I was telling people directly to go to said forums constantly) ... the amount of people who -actually- go to a forum, vs the amount of people who actually play the game... is a seriously insanely huge gap. like, to the point that a lot of people seriously just say it's 1000 to 1, but I've honestly seen it be even more then that.

and so this game is having a LOT of people see there hasn't been any updates in 3 months, (because the only thing they will see is the front page, or steam store page) think it's DOA, and go somewhere else and not look back, whether there end up being an update or not.
I'm not arguing if this is or is not the case... because it is. I can assure you of that. I'm just giving you a friendly headsup about it, hopefully before it's to late (if it isn't already) because I happen to -really- like the direction starbound is going, and would love to see it continue.

 

They don't have anything to update it to.
And if you don't want to restart a discussion, don't mention it.

 

Okay you made your request. If you really don't want another annoying pointless discussion to start you might as well request the lock yourself. Your message was made.

 

I kind of didn't want to... but felt it really weird to bring this up in a new thread when it had been pretty much already asked in another thread (in so many words) but had shortly thereafter been locked before I saw any response to it at all.
as to not having anything to update to... just simply saying 'hey we're still here' isn't "updating" to anything... it's called a status update. and doesn't require anymore then just someone with the access to it to change the message on said screen. I'm not saying they need to update -the game- I'm saying they need to update there message to the public that every single person who starts the game up sees before it starts.

... you actually make a very good point. while normally I don't like to request that because if it's going to be continued it might just wind up causing more threads to be made (and thus more annoying to everyone else that would rather simply ignore 1 thread rather then 2 or 3), but in this case your probably right. can we get this thread locked now?
