This game is really derp with being able to run it. I should be able to run this game perfectly, but I get frequent FPS drops, my pc decides to heat up, and sometimes my game lags really hard.

/Eventually/ people should be able to run it on toasters. The devs said they wanted it to be able to run on /most/ computers.

Yep, 49 celzius (I hope I got it right) on my laptop right now but it works fine until I get in some NPC crowded areas.

They are not going to concentrate on optimizing this game anytime soon, so performance issues are common on any setup. I believe beta phase 2 was all about optimizing and we are currently on phase 1.

In my experience, this game's performance is all over the map... on my new gaming system under windows 7 (quad core, 4.1Ghz, Radeon R7 GPU), it still has long stutters and horrible FPS drops any time it generates new areas/planets/dungeons... they just don't last more than 10 or so seconds, tops.

On my old gaming system from 2007 under XP (dual core, 3.1Ghz, GeForce 7950GT GPU), the frame drops and stutters have lasted up to several minutes, yet the game plays smoothly most of the time...

...and under linux on the old hardware, the frame drops and stutters are gone in favor of... long pauses. It stops, loads stuff, then continues (in about the same amount of time as XP's crazy frame drops). Seems more stable under linux.

In any case, with your setup at 1.9Ghz (any idea how many cores? *edit* nevermind, it's a quad */edit* I've never checked if this game utilizes more than one), expect those load times to be hellish. As far as I can tell, video hardware can be almost anything from the last 7 years thats Geforce or Radeon and the game will run fine (I used to run it smoothly on a Geforce 8800m 256MB... but I stopped using my laptop for more than testing and wiping hard drives earlier this year). The real bottleneck seems to be a combination of CPU clock speed and hard drive access speed for generating new areas. My old SATA 1.5GBps drive gets a constant workout with this game, while my new system's SATA 6GBps drive with tons of cache seems to rest a majority of the time.

As the poster above me said, optimization comes with phase 2. I'll be very interested to see what they accomplish in that phase. Your A8 should be able to run the final product just fine... but no one knows when that will happen.

I have 8gigs RAM, 3840QM 2.8GHz CPU, and an Nvidia 650M and my laptop runs it fairly well most of the time, but it gets huge frame drops in areas like Apex cities, but that's about it.

Thank you for help! I just hope that phase 2 will be successful and that it will increase my FPS in NPC crowded areas! :) On other hand in planet where ever I go it works fine until well as mentioned before I find NPC town.

Actual fps drops are more related to unoptimized code and parts of the engine. So don't worry about the actual fps drops. As long as you meet the minimum requirements you should be fine.
