one small thing, if you look at the gif of the cat lying down, the brown ear changes sides ^^..

just checked, the orange striped you did looks like Gozer i think

I wish I could fix the ear color changing sides, but don't think I can.
For walking there are sprites for both left and right. The sprite for lying down however only has him facing the right, so the game flips it when he decides to lay down in the other direction.

 

ah understand, it's not important. don't worry about it.
btw.. if you remove the brown ear and tail tip from your sample cat you basically have Breezy ^^.
(maybe a tiny bit desaturation of the whole sheet to get the fur color right)
if you do these changes and maket he stripes orange you'll get Pumpkin..
a lot of the cats are very similar. but anyway you dont have to make all haha was just thinking how to repurpose that sample sprite.

you could just try each of them for a few days each, noone knows if all of them ever happen (highly unlikely, since it's a lot of work ^^) till you find one you enjoy mroe among them.
that way you also get the random visitor effect that made neko atsume so fun

so just thinking who could go next
as i said there are a few cats that are based on others with little additions
sample cat --> breezy ,pumpkin(orange stripes) with very few changes , and other too (tabitha is gray dots added to pumpkin, turn pumpkin into fred by removing the white parts)
marshmallow --> recolor of your ginger
snowball --> mack(grey stripes), dottie, lexie, spots, speckles,sunny
cocoa/rascal are recolors of each other .. sample cat without stripes/dots (if you make the top fur black with yellow eyes you have gabriel)
shadow --> maybe just desaturation/gray version of smokey with dark eyes? add stripes and you get willie or misty (with different grays)
you can probably turn misty into bolt easy too by just changing base fur color
pepper --> add different eyes, white tail tip to smokey
spud,patches,bandit are versions of spooky but google image them quick.. not sure if dots are all the same

peaches will probably be popular too with the heart shape on the side ^^

I'll put those on the list.
At the moment I'm working on Cocoa and Marshmallow. Looking at google images there are a lot of pictures of these two together.

 

ah cool rascal is just a gray version of cocoa so maybe can go next.. have fun with it!

 

As for my avatar cat which is Big Boss from MGS V. I might have to completely redo the entire sprite art and make him a huge cat in order to get the details in.

 

you could just use your sprite and call it a chibi version haha
