It could be like an egg in, if they include, a star map. You might be looking at the star map and think your looking at a star, but it's actually a planet. You have to hover your mouse over it to realise it's a planet, or perhaps look during the night (real time.)
Yes, a difficult planet that reaps rewards if you have the right skill/gear level. This would be a good planet for high threat levels. During the day you might find caves where the creatures live due to the heat of the surface. You would also need monsters that are able to live in the day for gameplay. What do people think about bosses for this planet?
An giant snake that lives in lava! And generates so much corporal heat capable of melting you in seconds on contact!
Looks like someone has a frowny face. Technically in IRL some planets are inhabitable compared to earth because they are SUPER hot. Take Venus for example it is the hottest logging in around 462 C. Venus is farther away from the sun than Mercury which is also considered hot. It is hotter because it's atmosphere is made of C02 and traps heat within the planets surface. Mercury is just close to the sun and has a atmosphere that is made up of other minerals that can light and heat can passs through more easily. So yeah it is possible, and I can see the benefits from going to the planet because of mineral deposits. Me and my buddies would enjoy this planet immensely.
Wow, this is an old thread, it's like going back in history. I like it, would be interesting to see some crazy planets like this. OF course, it'd be a high-level planet, have some fun mechanics, the Walk of Fire during the day. If the stone turns to lava during the day, I think we should have various types of stone to play with, some that do melt, others that don't. Or else we'd have on giant pool of magma during the day, which would of course harden to be completely flat, and that's kind of bland for a world like this.
Whoops you are correct. Very old thread indeed! I got here from this thread that was duped. I wanted to see what was duped. I think this a good idea anyways I don't feel that it's a bad necro at all!
, I don't see what's so horrible about necros anyway, the context and information here doesn't change very fast at all, so threads shouldn't really have to die very often. The only bad thing about it would be if there's multiples of the same idea alive at the same time, then they could compete with each other.
This could actually work, and really I doubt you would have one as your home planet, so would it matter if you find a planet that was like this? You could just make a underground base with resources from other planets you have been to.
Brilliant! It's bloody brilliant! You have my vote, although you may need to change some things to make it work.
Still, its a great and imaginative idea that I can get into if it was ever added in-game. Just the thought of having to make a bunker underground just to survive the day without burning to a crisp just excites a part of me I didn't know I had, so I think this needs more people thinking about this.
I never considered this an really original/imaginative idea. Its not really that far from a Volcanic planet.
Bloody hell, we are really trying to compliment your damn idea? how hard is it to at least not argue with it? jeez.
Because age is just a number! (and jail is just a placelel) Yeah it is worth a few necros. Not a lot are worth it now adays. If it were me coding the game I would put a ore that can be exclusively found on planets of that type. They could play it off saying that the ore is made due to the constant varying of the temperatures. Then make it worth more than a common ore, and have items that require it. There you go! You have a need/want to go to that planet, and you have lore!
