Building sidequests! Everything from quests asking that we develope a planet's infrastructure -stuff like weather stations, launch pads, etc., to quests to build houses or other buildings! Some Quest Examples: If someone wanted a castle or fort built, we would be given basic building requirements such as using bricks for the castle, or strong woods for the fort. You could also possibly get bonus points/rewards if you went above the basic requierments and put in decorations that fit those types of structures, like suits of armor, or weapon racks. Requests to build bases on planets with hostile environments -structures protected from intensely temperate planets like those covered in lava or ice, which would need special devices to protect them from the elements. General "Build me a shop/house!" quests! Someone may need you to build them a shop, where the ornamets you put around the building help determine what kinds of items they sell! -armor suits for armors, weapon racks for weapons, book shelves for books, etc. There are lots and lots of things that could be done with this, such as bringing Avian ornaments to a shop owner or your base for research etc. ^_^ Possible Rewards Various building tools -anything that would help you build, such as items that would allow you to place entire walls up at once, instead of doing everything 1 block at a time. Vanity items! (Use your imagination on this one ^_^) NPC Relationship bonus/development -they may have more items to sell, or by helping them they may offer to board your space station or move to your 'main' planet/base. Gear! It wouldn't be the fastest way to gear up, but it would be a fun one!
Can we sneakily hide Bombs place 'Insurance' in the Construction before we turn in the Quest just in case the Quest Reward is something stupid, like a 'Lousy T-Shirt' Vanity Item...? Also, maybe Quests to go to existing Bases & fortify them with Defenses?
This is a nice idea, quite a bit. Maybe have the quests about fixing buildings rather then building from scratch. Also lets not forget building wire contraptions for people too.
