Buff the UFO Boss Maybe? Also Guns Need to be Looked at

    That's fair enough, but I find that an easy UFO means you get a very rushed Alpha sector. There really wasn't much of a reason to stick around very long in Alpha before the boss got nerfed, now the road to Beta is even faster.

    If we were to agree on the UFO being "just right" at this difficulty then I'd have to say the devs should rethink the sectors, maybe blend A and B together so there's less redundancy. Hell, I'd have to say they should tweak all the sectors since that's part of the reason why I can't find a reason to ever settle down, I'm always moving to new sectors. But that's a bit off topic.

    To the first thing UFO: I think by making it a "easy to learn hard to master" game. It would make it much more appealing for both types of gamers. Then ones that just want to defeate all the boses, and the ones that just want to build a simple house and play off and on slowly progressing.
    To the second thing about sectors: I think it was in the beginning times when he even said right off the bat, "do you want to be a traveling nomad, constantly moving from planet to planet, or to build a house and explore the planet to it's full extent." I don't even think people realize that most of the things including good gear are under ground, not in villages

    I also found the UFO boss pretty underwhelming. The robot was a better fight until it got stuck behind some dirt and just stood there while I killed it. There needs to be a balance between boss fights taking 45 minutes of chipping away at it, or taking 2 minutes of throwing plasma grenades. Maybe they need more attacks? Just some variety would help out a lot, keep players on their toes.

    Duh, it is a BOSS, bosses are supposed to be hard?

    Some of the current bosses (mostly mini-bosses on planets) can 1-hit people easily, that's not my definition of a hard boss either, that's just broken. A hard boss is challenging and fun to fight, with many different tactics, it should be able to damage you considerably if you don't watch yourself, and it should not be possible to beat it so easily when you don't have the best gear for that tier yet (because right now you can..).

    The UFO needs a considerable damage buff and a small defense buff... It's kinda weird that his minions do 2-3 damage and his main attack does 11 damage at most, I could beat it without using a single bandage, it should simply not be like that. I know there are players that don't go through it as easily as I did, but they are doing something wrong then, because I wasn't even putting effort in it... I just kept jumping up and hitting him, took less than a minute.



    This. Even though I think the UFO has enough attacks, the other bosses seem extremely lacking.

    if we are gonna do anything about the bosses they really need to added extra block destruction power to them i have cheesed every boss by just putting up some dirt near me with windows to shoot out of

    The Second Boss is a lot easier than the first. Just run from him and the robot can't touch you. Hit a wall? Put your shield up and run past him once. Done. 0 challenge.

    This is how it goes. Everyone whines about the game being too hard, then they nerf it and everyone calls it too easy. I'm hoping difficulties will solve these issues.

    Can't say about guns because I haven't used them at all in the recent patch, but the UFO boss could indeed be buffed at least a little. Although, RNG was in my favor (perhaps a little too much) and found enough diamonds to make 2 diamond pickaxes before even fighting the boss to begin with.

    A simple fix would be to give all bosses a way to teleport near the player, so they can't wall the enemies from them.

    A more complex fix is to give the bosses a 'frenzy' mode or something. If the player walled the boss away, and the boss cannot teleport themselves to the player, they enter a state of rage where any block they touch that's between it and its target is instantly obliterated. Think of the Minecraft Wither boss in that sense.

    So today, I finally fought the T2 'robot' boss for the first time ever, this time without a gun and only a poorly-rolled hammer I found from a mini-boss. Again this one was a pushover, but he proved to be a lengthier battle than the UFO.

    But the one I enjoyed the most was being able to battle the T3 'bone dragon' boss. Lots of health, and he was putting quite a hurt on me despite wearing titanium 'pioneer' armor. I had to keep running away in order to heal. I hope the developers don't nerf this one at all.
