Bring back wood as fuel! Or atleast decrease the amount of wood for 1 coal.

Not really. You are complaining about how the game is not what you imagined it to be. You are trying to say that your preconceived notions of the game are right and what the devs see for the game are wrong.

The game was exactly what I wanted it to be a couple days ago, so I doubt you're correct on that front. Also, can I get confirmation that this is what the devs want, because from my perspective you're just stating that what you view the game should be is what the devs envisioned.

Problem solved (also I never have used wood and find it a bit odd to power a ship with heck I even think coal is an odd method)

 

Glitch ships are a castle... Fuel source doesn't seem odd anymore.

 

They still use thrusters that clearly arent steam based >.>

 

Isn't it unfortunate that early on in the game you have to focus on surviving and collecting resources in a game based partially around survival?
It's so terrible that your interstellar spaceship actually requires fuel which is commonly available on almost every single planet in the entire universe.

If you really have a problem with it I suggest modding your game so that you start with 10000 coal in your ship locker, then you won't have to worry about it.

 

They are also robots and seem to function in the medieval era...

I was able to get ungodly amounts of coal without going far into the ground at all. I left the first planet relatively fast and with a whole lot of fuel. Dig for coal, or start cutting down trees. Its not hard.

Yea, I have started using coal for everything but fuel now. It got to the point it was a shameful waste putting it in my ship, when I could just make some awesome stuff with it. By the time I leave this planet, I'll have 1k fuel just from the coal. I don't even convert my trees into coal, been building this planet into a planet wide town.
