Very useful, acts as a craftable version of oxygen tank, goes in primary back slot to function, does not work in vanity back slot.

I think that it is slightly overpowered, due to the fact that it allows you to survive very successfully in the frozen core biomes, which tend to be my favorite biome. (They are a rare replacement for the normal core, if anyone doesn't know)

The frozen core has no air?

 

No, it also protects against cold. It being the Survival System, that's why you don't freeze on moons or asteroid planets. At least, it did in Furious.

 

It hasn't for many versions. Also, your armor may have been what was protecting you from the cold.

 

You stop freezing in Asteroid fields at cerulium or Violium armor

 

I was in Delta when I stopped freezing, with tier 4 racial. Not sure why, but that's what happened to me. Maybe my game was bugged?

 

Or it was an earlier version of the game. Either way the only OP thing about the survival system now is that it makes it impossible to drown anymore

 

Craft Starmap Upgrade MK3 and robotic crafting station and then click while holding Starmap Upgrade MK3 and go to robotic crafting station and you'll find survival system
