In my opinion can be a good idea bounty hunter quests, that consist in track down a wanted monster or npc and kill or capture him\her. -These missions can be obtained by talk to villagers or on bulletin board in village or town. -They can be conducted on the originating planet of quest or on others. More far is the destination more are the rewards. -The quests can consint in kill the wanted or capture him\her whit special not-lethal weapons. -The rewards for easy type of this quest can be ore,money, common userful item. More difficulty increase more rewards are rare. In the most hard type of this quest the rewards can be very very rare like veichles, pet, equipment ect. -The wanted can be alone or sorrounded by him\her allies. Him\her can be coward, so run away from you, or brave and fight against you.
Kill a certain amount of monsters would be cool, and there would be quest rewards specific to bounty hunter quests.
I like this idea. I also would like to add the idea of being able to set bounties in a multiplayer environment.
Would be great. At a town you might come across some people who give you a quest to kill/capture a person who committed a crime. His last known whereabouts here, upon going there you have to search around and eventually find the baddies base. Makes me think, game needs a intergalactic underground crime organization! Anyway, bounty hunting quests would be a fun way to make pixels. Could also warrant a bounty hunter specific item, which allows you to safely (most times) shrink an individual for easy hauling.

an easier way to implement it would be via a coordinate based treasure hunt that hops from planet to planet with an end target NPC that you kill. players would hunt a planet for a clue which would basically be a hidden item that yields a random coordinate for the next clue, eventually leading to the target.
i like this idea. it seems cool. mabey there can even be a jetpack and set of armor that are a tribute to boba fet.
Your idea would fit perfectly with the ecosystem reputation in my thread it involves punishing griefing and returning players items to them through the type of event you have mentioned. My 2 cents, Wanted posters will have a small chance of spawning in any race city/town or be given to players by npc's. The wanted poster would be a picture of a randomly generated character with varying levels of gear and weapons. The poster would contain information like: -Whether the target is wanted dead or alive(ability to stun the target and use some sort of restraint, handcuffs for example and have them follow you back to the quest giver) <- Would be hard to implement, sadly. -Planet coordinates -Name of the planet or just one of the following(so you'd actually have to search thoroughly on planet systems) -Bounty price -Last known whereabouts ect. I would love to see this make it into the game, sounds awesome.
Bounties would be a great implementation, time to go all assassins creed like!! (must include big trench coats or hoodies)
