Boundstar.com - What planet are YOU on?

It keeps saying "Join Failed! No server response received" Every-time I try to join. By the by, GREAT server you got going on there.

 

We had a lot of traffic this afternoon and some connect issues, we did a restart and it seems to have fixed it for many users.

Sometimes when I join the boundstar server it would give me an error, then i would check the site and there would be players online. I get confused when this happens, is it just me or is anyone getting it?

 

How to servers work on this game, may sound stupid but I really dont get it.....when I join am I free to do what I want, go to planets with people or build things together?

 

Hello Boundstar Starbound homies!

We have been working with some new ideas for the server and have been trying to address some connection issues after the server has been on for extended amounts of time. Working out the benefits of having uninterrupted play vs higher performance and better connects. Lots of cool new stuff will be rolling out for our server, including contests and more!

We allow players to do whatever they want on any planet but spawn, which is protected.
Lots of people join to build or to advance in the game. You can join any time, 24/7.
We run on donations on boundstar.com but we are free to play too.
I would suggest joining and asking if anyone wants to party or build.
We have a steam group and a teamspeak 3 server.
If you have any questions you can certainly email me or message me on the forums.

Just recently a lake and a club were built at spawn, we have a post for ideas on the steam group!

 

i tried to join today and it said "You Need clear the server account field of all text", with that grammar.

 

What did you enter to connect?

I would restart starbound and re-enter multiplayer, make your screen look like this:


If you continue to get that error make sure to run the diagnostic and make sure your files are alright!

I can't really say any other game has kept me so enthralled and busy-- between the server, all of the building and the excellent mods I have been trying out and trying my hand at creating, I wanted to see who all would be interested in another boundstar server that would be include a required mod pack to play. It would most likely also be a password protected server. Let me know what you think about this idea, I hope to keep our main server evolving but also open up new play opportunities for veteran players as-well. Thanks for playing, if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear for the community about our server.

 

I would love that idea, but only one thing. DON'T FORGET TO ADD THE ATTACK ON TITAN MOD INSIDE OF THE MODPACK!

But, I am all for this idea, a modpack would shift some things around, and add in all new additions, all of which you can share in with your buddies on the server.

But seriously, don't forget the AoT mod.

Boundstar’s first server-wide building event!



How this will work:

- The event will begin 13 January 2014 at 6.00pm (MST) / 8.00pm (EST) / 1.00am (GMT).

- This event will span THREE HOURS long. Players can still enter up to TWO HOURS into the event (That would, however, mean that you have only one hour left to build).

- A planet has been isolated on a separated server hosted specifically for this event - this information will be made available only to participants.

- Participants are temporarily granted /item to aid their building (item names can be found here: http://www.starboundcodex.com/items/); to reduce lag, the ‘superfishaxe’ and any use of liquid are not permitted.

- A poll will be held to decide the winners at the end of the event.

- The winners’ buildings will then be moved to Spawn and preserved for posterity.​

To enter, please post your in-game character name.

For those having connection issues, try running two clients at the same time and logging at the same time, one will fail and the other should join, this may take a few tries. This tends to happen with Starrybound or other admin mods. Been a lot of problems with them.
