Dark version of yourself, ala Dark Link. It has all of your equipment, weapons, and technology, but twice the health.

 

Something kind of like the final boss from super meatboy, but not at annoying to beat.

I would include pictures but they wouldn't be pretty.

 

so many to think of.. but meh, grabbing whatever i think of first.

 

You should totally have the staff/dev team themed bosses. /shameless plug. That or look at Dragoniths suggestions, he has done a BUNCH of different monster designs.

 

Giant ant lion in a desert would be cool. You already have baddies throwing dirt

 

A sentient mound of broken Glitch trying to get you, yep. That'll work.

 

We need a spaghetti monster. Bonus points for a penguin spaghetti monster.

Pretty much anything from the deep sea, let's see some ocean bosses, deep deep in the abyss. That'd be sweet.

 

what about a guy/girl who throws up to 6 high-level random generated monsters (one after another) at while annoucing every attack by a short phrase in his or her race-specific voice (like the one used for singing)

 

Giant monster with several limbs (arms, tentacles, whatever). It attacks you with each limb. You have to target and destroy each one. When he's all out of limbs, he just lunges and tries to eat you.
Thing is, he's invulnerable at this point (armored body, no armor on limbs), you have to let him eat you and attack him from within.

Kind of weird idea, could use some refinement.

Well how about a sort of randomly appearing miniboss: The Feathers of Kluex. It could consist of a well equipped group of 5-7 Avian Soldiers backed up by an Avian Priest of Kluex with some sort of energy based "holy weapon" like a flamespitting assault rifle sent out to destroy deserters from the homeworld and anyone who aids them.

 

I hate to be the guy totally transfixed with the asteroid layer, but we need an asteroid with a cave that isn't.

There's loot inside, but once you grab it, or your fuzzy companion shoots at some cave space bats, the event starts. To beat the boss you escape, or go further in and shoot up its stomach?

 

How about a polymorphic slime creature that takes the shape of various life forms as it loses mass due to damage, finally taking a shape that looks like your own race for a final duel. The abilities would change depending on what it shape shifted into.

 

What about a Dragon Aligoat ?
