Boss Broken?

Hey Guys, whenever I try to Defeat The Beta Sector Boss it says "Take it to the planet surface first!" Even when I Do, it doesn't work. Any Help?

 

try set it up on some flat land

the land you set it on has to have background blocks

is it in a valley or below the caveline?
did you press "E" to activate him?
the background blocks cant be floating either. they have to connect all the way down

 

I'm on ground level in a Savahna biome with a solid wall of background blocks.

 

dont have the background blocks above the ground he rests on. as in "behind him"
same thing happened to me. i just kept moving him a few times till he activated.

If you put it below a layer of dirt (say you're trying to trap it), it tends to give you that message.

 

there cant be any background blocks directly behind him. just behind the ground he sets on. he can be finiky. just move him around a bit till he works. try a flat mountaintop.

 

Just raise the ground by let's say 15 tiles, and don't block the sky.

 

Make a floating line of dirt blocks and put it on that before activating it
