Here is a idea for a boss I had. Basically it would be you. It would have some armour, healing items, weapons/ammo, health that you have. The items it can access depend on the threat level.-idea from Pyxz During this battle, you may not access any storing items (i.e. Chest). You can tame them in order to help fight for you. Hope you like my idea!
Noob vs Noob = Pro vs Pro, since Noobs are weaker but their opponent also is, and pros are stronger but their opponent also is... So mrmcmo, Pro vs Pro is equal to Noob vs Noob or Mid vs Mid or Gosu vs Gosu or Cheater vs Cheater.
Instead of ALL the items/debuffs it should be able to negate the effects of certain items/debuffs you have depending on your threat level.
I like it, reminds me of that zombie game with the 2 kids where your clones come out of these plants, may need a few changes though
Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Classic game. Haven't played it in ages, might go throw it in the old SNES and give it a whirl. OT: Not a bad idea, but what if you're playing co-op? Would it just pick a random player and copy them, or the first player it sees? And this is how you over analyze a joke. Further analyzing, your statement (applied to basketball instead) is saying elementary school basketball is the equivalent of the NBA, on a bigger scale, but that's hardly so. Just imagine an elementary school basketball game- relatively boring, mostly parents watching their kids run around bouncing a ball and tossing it at a hoop in hopes that they'll score. Even the faintest of heart can handle this. Now go to an NBA game. More often than not, it's a physical dunkfest with a bunch of shots being taken with great results- it's intense, it's fierce, it has true meaning in people's lives. Realistically, then, you could say that while elementary school basketball and the NBA share similar attributes, they are not equal by any means. In terms of Noob vs Noob, the battle would be on a less intense level. Pro vs Pro, on the other hand, would require a lot more thought process and tactics. Much more complex. Again, both share the battling attribute, but are quite different in the end. One is two idiots swinging sticks or something at each other, the other is two mercenaries blasting away at each other, jumping and dodging; predicting the opponent's move and taking risks. Equal, yet not equal at all. Yeah. I just went there uaehuaehuhaeu
So just a doppelganger? This idea is too boring... How about a boss that is like you, cept the extreme opposite. He has every weapon, healing item, armor and misc tools you dont have with you (he can either use multiple armors/weapons at the same time or switch mid battle) Everyone with basic gaming skills could deal with their a copy of their own when "lowleveled" and probably even at endgame items (Implying the AI wont be perfect enough to mimic a real player's playing style). Now even with end game items, find a copy of you that have everything powerful you might forgot to bring to this fight, BOY YOU GON GET WRECKD
I like this idea, sort of like a dark link thing from OOT except further complicated by variables of your character.
This idea could work, but it seems rather complicated...at least higher up. Maybe it could be like a mirro image of you, imitating one of the boss fights you had? This is a good idea to be an only singleplayer boss.
