Boredom

There aren't many subjects to talk about anymore. The forum is falling into stages of hype-lossage (made up word ) Like SWTOR did because its community started way to early.

 

just talk about something related to starbound like idea's suggestions, the community, random polls etc.

anybody up for talking bout researching? i wonder what we can research not counting how to learn monsters you have captured how to wield a lazer gun.

 

I'm feeling that too, can't find many words to say usually. Though it does mean the devs get to work mostly without being distracted I guess.

I'm using this forum, and reading all the older-fuller- funny as hell threads within to kill my boredom at WORK.

 

I find the situation fine. No need to forcing a discussion if no one feels like it. There are many other activities one day can indulge oneself in till another news or something to talk about comes up. Suggestions? There are plenty, if devteam would check and talk over every one they still would have enough to work for years.

 

There is now so little to talk about someone has started a thread how to pronounced "Tiy".

 

I want to be active I really do but if I want to post daily I'd just have to make things up and pretend like I'm contributing to the conversation.

 

The game is not long conceived, or at the very least not too long under development. I'm sure they have a few features they can't wait to show us, but need to tweak. The news will come in time, and we can yak away when that time comes. For the time being, don't sit there twiddling your thumbs and refreshing the forums, play a game, go to the movies, do something! The forums will still be here when you come back!

 

Play some Terraria or Minecraft while you wait, while it might not have the sheer Awesome that Starbound, it should take the edge off your boredom.

No, I don't think it is. It's just that after recent news suddenly there were dozens of threads about races, avians in general etc.

 

When this happens, it's time to realize the community just wants to play other stuff and will come back later to post. If not, just think of random, creative and fitting topics to discuss! If you feel bored in this section, go to the other sections. We're not just limited to this one.

 

Are you only referring to General Discussion? I haven't had this problem with any other section. If you were just referring to General Discussion, try expanding your sights. It's not forum-wide.

 

Suggestions are really fun to peruse.

 

The suggestions forum is usually fairly active, although some could use a dose of logic...

 

As much as I've tried to read the Suggestions, I think that all the seperation really doesn't help someone who just wants to read suggestions.
Maybe they should all be in the same section but have tags at the front, sort of like those new 'notice' and 'tutorial' ones. This would allow us not to have to choose between or open eight different sections.

 

But it would make it a hell of a lot harder for suggestions to be found.

 

Hmmmmmm.... Mabye its time for everyone to start more topics to discuss.

 

If you click on one of those new tags, it only shows threads with those tags, so I wouldn't say that it's that much more difficult.
