The edited picture above tells most of the story. What I would like to see in the game is 'Body Development'. A game usually depends on armour and weapons alone but we have to innovate to reach our mutual goal. Lets compare: Picture A: This particular picture shows a muscular man donning whatever the heck he's wearing. (Sorry I'm not that familiar with silly sports like this, Rugby rules) Picture B: This picture show a child wearing the same attire. If they were to clash in a fiery battle, the first picture would win. While this is true in reality it might not be so in games.
Based on what Tiy has said, I'm relatively sure you won't be able to level up your character and gain stat points and such, since that basically seems like what you're suggesting.
It's just a joke, though why not? More customization is always good, it's not like it will hurt anyone since you don't HAVE to use it.
1. Jokes are supposed to be funny. 2. It doesn't matter if your boobs are small or big, keep it as it is. As for body development, I'm doubting this will be implemented.
While attributes and stats are good, I'm talking about muscle. The more you run the healthier you'd be (healthy = faster health regeneration and more stamina). So that even if you have just started the game if you're a crazy little brat that runs a lot you can be fit while the more advanced players are so busy crafting and doing alchemy, they have more sluggish movement. It's like a fat 20 year old and a fit child.
I like this idea, but it's highly unlikely that it will be put in the game. That's really all I have to say, I've seen the system in many games.
It's an interesting idea, but I honestly doubt it would work in Starbound. It'd be too much of a hassle having to get your character fit for combat, and then keep them fit. Better to just have the physical abilities of all characters the same by default, but then with modifiers from equipped armor and buffs.
The mechanic doesn't have to be training all day and night. It could be just how much heavy activities you do. The weak gravity weakens muscle so an astronaut has to exercise but in the game since there are many planets with possibly different strength of gravitational pull, maybe some planets are dangerous for the persons lacking stamina and is locked? That would bring a new level into the game where we have to train just the right amount to traverse to other planets.
I liked the way it sounded until you said planets would be locked because players didn't have enough stamina, there's just too much there. I can agree with developing your character so that it's stronger than a newly created one even without armor but not that. I'd also prefer stats that were more common for RPG-ish things like strength, intelligence, dexterity, luck, maybe stamina or something for health but I don't know what would be the stat to increase energy since energy doesn't seem to depend on your body.
Attributes is good but I just don't like the idea of wear that armour and you will be strong. Maybe if the armour had some requirements to wear, for example at least 2 strength then it's pretty much okay with me. My real agenda was to get rid of the 'begging for armour' crap.
I don't know what you mean by the last part and attributes are basically what I got from your suggestion, I doubt they'll be in the game but it'd be cool if they were.
Sometimes in open servers in Terraria, there are people who ask for end game items. It really bugs me.
The game is not arranged to give stats based on strength, agility, or even levels really. Tiy has already stated that "levels" will be given from your gear's tier, and your character himself won't actually level up. So to sum it up, there is a very slight chance of anything like this being implemented.
Stats, points, abilities, and leveling up in general is the cancer of gaming. The player should get better at the game, not the player's character.
False. IF a player wats to role-play a character with DIFFERENT abilities from his own, he should be able to do so. I role play a lot, both on videogames and tabletop games, and i love being a deadly sniper, even though my aim sucks.
