Boats

Okay I am unsure if this fits in this category... kinda fits into blocks as well for suggestions for it is a build it yourself/vehicle type deal, but look at this thread I posted on general discussion.

Talks about large scale boats for those large oceanic planets I've heard about. Adds diversity to the line of starbound! type deal haha.

boats are awesome, if you happen to land on a ocean planet (completely ocean)

 

Well i think they are goona implement boats into the game or i might be wrong

 

I guess this means they'll be in the game.

 

Actually, I wonder how they will work, if they will only work on ocean or also on small ponds and stuff on land and if there are large ships or only small ones, you know like:

Incase of a planet war(PvP) you would maybe like a naval war on a water planet, that'd be nice? but I guess I will leave this for another thread.

 

A naval war would be sweet. Maybe there's like oil rigs or something in the ocean and you could capture it and get the oil? (oil as an example of some resource)

 

I have to say, that the light shining through that water will be rather pretty to look at. That being said, boats would make for excellent transportation on oceans. Though will all water be that nice blue color?

I'm not entirely sure(and correct me if I'm wrong), but i think that that boat was Photoshopped into this picture. This boat is from treasure adventure world, unless they decided to use the same texture.

 

Nope, the Screenshot is 100% real and not photoshopped - they used the same skin of the boat in TAW

Would be cool to have Boats styles for each Race, or also boats with pirate, viking, chaos etc etc, designs =)

 

Or to be able to customize your own boats.

 

Yup, also Boats customizations ! With the pre-rendered boat designs described above, when you pop it out, you can add stuff, like type of sails, the pattern, colours etc etc

I really hope there are boats in the game... If there aren't, water planets would be a pain in the ass to travel through.

 

I think it is in the game right now.
I hope there will be bigger boats i wanna make a ship name it titanic.
Get my pals on the ship and sink them.
