RELEASED Blood Mod 1.41

This mod is awesome. I featured it in my most recent episode of Starbound Mod Outpost



Since races and even monsters body parts are made up of individual sprites, I wonder if it's possible to add dismemberment into the game without a whole lot of work.

 

Given the games cartoony, over the top graphics. Cartoony, over the top blood was exactly what this game needed

I do have a minor note to add though. Right now it generates blood spray even if the attack is blocked and yields zero damage - is it viable to perhaps prevent blood being generated if no damage is recieved, it kinda messes with screenshots and immersion when someone taps your shield and blood goes spraying everywhere

 

This is because blocked attacks use the weapon's damage effects and it appears that nothing can be added for it.

Thanks for the spotlight video. It might be possible, but I'm still trying to find a way to do this.

Awesome mod just a few quirks here and there but awesome nonetheless

 

Hey everyone, I'm going to post the updated mod for "Enraged Koala". It will only change the modinfo file, so that the game will launch. I'm currently unable to properly test or update the mod at the moment, because I've been out of town since the start of February. I'm not sure if the mod requires other changes besides just editing the modinfo.

bloody hell i love this one, they should include this into the game somehow, with gibs and dismemberment like on terraria

 

I really like this mod, except for the size of the blood effects. They feel a bit too big for me, especially when using ranged weapons

Great mod. Firsy mod that i ever use in Starbound.
Please make the change so the shields don't bleed when hit.
