Starbound is looking amazing so far, and the one thing that i could think that would make the planets look better, is if the terrain looked a little more smooth. The hills would look like hills and not like pyramids, and I am not saying that it looks horrible or not like a hill at all, but like it would look better. So I was thinking there would be better transitions in between blocks, they did this in terraria fairly well, but still it had the blocky type. If better transitions is not possible then maybe naturally occurring half blocks? none of this has to be done, just a suggestion.
What do you mean, "better transitions"? Do you mean like, a block or two between the next level up? If that happened, it would look less like a hill, I think. Half blocks would definitely help with the scenery, but I don't think they're really necessary, especially because you can walk up one block at a time.
yeah, that is pretty much what I was saying, but the transitions thing I meant like in minecraft, the blocks are total squares and just fit together. But in terraria when you put two blocks together it makes them look like they were "melted" together or something, which gives it less of a blocky look. If you can understand my horrible description.
