So I'm finally getting around to writing an introduction. I thought this section was going to be kind've cringe worthy and full of forced introductions, but it actually seems pretty nice and enticed me to write one of my own. So, let's get started. My name is Michael, but I believe most of you will call me Blitz. I've gone by other names; Skein, Castimsm, Dirk, and probably a couple more of little significance. You may refer to me however you please. I'm sure there's a grand answer to this that refers to the cosmic scale of things but for the sake of simplicity, let's stick to answering this as "Why am I on these forums?". Well, for Starbound of course! I've been following the development since I signed up in early 2013. I found out about it from a Video Game General thread on 4ch and pre-ordered the game as soon as it was made available. My only regret is not having the money for Platinum Tier, I would have submitted a request for some sick shades like the ones above. When the beta started, I headed over to the forums expecting things to be chaotic from all the excitement going around -- and I was totally right. I figured since there was so much going on, I could do my best to help people with issues that the developers don't have sufficient time to respond to and by reporting as many bugs as I can. Not really, but that's a totally fair assessment. The reason I use the character Dirk to represent me is a bit more complicated than that and is actually kind of a long story. But, to put it in as few words as possible; back when I was playing another game I accidentally created a character in his likeness. After having so many people point it out, I read into the character and actually found him really relatable. After a while, people just started calling me Dirk and the persona ended up sticking. I have read the first few acts of it, but I never even made it to the Scratch. Once it's over I might pick it back up and see it through to the end. So, in short, sorry if I don't get your mspaintadventures references. Yeah, I want to give a major shoutout to the Administrator 'Ordona'. A day or so ago I posted a few suggestions on the website feedback forum, and he personally took the time to respond to all of them and even implemented a couple of the changes I suggested. Further props to the moderation team, the dedicated members who are helping out while things are so disorderly, the beta testers who are working hard to find and report bugs, and the developers -- you guys make it all happen, thank you so much.
Well this introduction would appear to be a little more organized than most, good on ya for putting in the extra effort just to say hello! c: I too pre-ordered almost immediately after it became available haha, I even ended up buying a second copy so I could play with my brother! Yeah the forums do tend to be a little hectic with so many people suggesting and commenting on sooooo much, but I'm sure we both understand that it's for the better of the beta! If only every single good idea would get added.. Maybe they will, hard to tell so early on but I have high hopes! Congratulations on getting your suggestions added by the way, it's fun to think of all the creativity going into the game that might not have even been though of by the development team itself! And for the record I never got into mspa so no worries I have no references to make since I don't understand them either! Hello and welcome!
