never mentioned, will they be in the game along with worm holes?

maybe planets could collide into black holes as a "star system event" or a sun blowing up\

    edit: too*

    Great idea, actually.

Picture it: it's your first planet, you've built up a mighty fortress, you know it like the back of your hand, you and your friends have played around on it for many hours. It's not just a level, it's memories. It's like a brother to you. LOLZ RANDOM BLACK HOLE EVENT ALL YOUR SHIT IS GONE HAHA IN MOTHER RUSSIA GAME TROLLS YOU

I suppose it's an interesting enough idea, but I'll pass. I think having planets colliding with black holes would be an annoyance, especially if you liked the planet or had something on it.

It'd be pretty hard to code in, having all those blocks compressed to a singularity.

But seriously, I'd rather not have all my work destroyed by a random event, it's why there is explosives in the game. More fun for me.

I really like the idea but I think it'd be a bit too scary for me. Especially if they have the chance of sucking you up or destroying something you've created. However though I did pick no- perhaps if there was say an option to turn them on or off then maybe. I just really don't like the idea of a system getting wrecked along with all the interesting things in it.

At least creepers content themselves with a scant few armlengths of teabagging. That's not a disaster, it's recoverable.

I could maybe get behind a black hole event option for server admins (anything less is an invitation to griefing)...?

Tiy said planets you like/build on will not be affected by events. Your homewold would never get an event, and bookmarked planets would get low scale events

I'm not sure how it will work, but I'm interested in it.

It'd only really work if you could see the black hole in the preview of the planet. Then it'd be nifty looking for one just to explore a dying world watching chunks getting ripped out into space as you look for loot.

Sure, which is why it would be an event totally under human control, never randomly occurring. It'd be the celestial version of setting your own house on fire when you get bored. :D

I like this idea! Maybe they could lead to something cool like a special planet or galaxy! Or maybe send you back in time...

If it does not eat my home planet, I am OK with that.

its like a race for loot. like a special event planet. the moment you set foot you have 15 minutes to loot asmuch as you can, at 15 minutes you automatically teleport to your ship if close to the surface than watch a citimatic. if not close to the surface you have 2 minutes to return to the surface, elsewise you loose all your findings. having chunks be ripped out would be like sand falling, but up and rock

Sounds good to me, provided as others said, it doesn't destroy a place you like.

Only if we could stop them somehow.... I prefer my planet in not destroyed.

Edit: I'm pretty sure this should be in the suggestions forums.
