Bird dmg, linked to range dmg, not birds in general

There are two common spawning mobs on my world a pink one and these.

These are two different events, yet they showcase what is the problem with these creatures. The range damage for them is asburd i've been hit up to 80 before since each individual barb deals damage between 30-50. The same goes for birds ranged attacks. This is has lead me to believe that when they were tweaking other data dealing with dmg armour the calculations for ranged attacks either got glitched out, or accidently skipped over leaving the same calculations as before. However, with the new tweaks these produce INSANE results.

Yeah I've run into similar things, since birds are all ranged this makes sense. Though birds do seem to be hyper aggressive now though.

I've noticed its a luck of the draw However on my word theirs two bird types a pink friendly one and a yellow devil duck but i've noticed there's two groups with two different attacks. So either there's four attacks for that one species OR there's two identical species on the planet

I had one planet with like four different birds types for some reason and they all had at least two attacks. One was very weird because it breathed fire...then bubbles.

each one has a long range and a shorter range attack. However i've noticed on my world birds in flocks had two different chances of attacks Fire and Rock, Ice and vomit They looked the same but I have a feeling they weren't

So perhaps if the birds' range damage wasn't horribly borked, they could've stayed hyperagressive? A minor nuisance with attacks that knock you back, so you can't flat out ignore them.

Damage scaling for the attacks is the real culprit then, not the birds themselves!
