Biome types. What are you looking forward to?

Yeah, lava planet, as been suggested before. I need to make one as my homeworld eventually, and I plan to grow dense jungle in this lava world. Actually, three kinds of lava planets will be nice: 1 — Io-like, with ridiculous tectonics and volcanoes everywhere; 2 — Venus-like, with super-dense atmosphere and extremely hot surface; 3 — burnt-hot-Jupiter-like, that one which is far too close to its' sun, way closer than the Mercury is.

As we're on the subject — jungle world and extreme jungle sub-biome, with humongous trees like Kashyyk. I mean trees which can't be cut as a normal tree, but actually are a part of the landscape itself, being constructed from blocks. Also deep swamps where it is easy to die sinking if you're not prepared/careful enough.

Mostly carbon planet with graphite dirt and diamond rocks everywhere.

Pure iron planet, basically a planetary core which has been stripped of everything else because of reasons.

Titan-like ultra cold planet with liquid methane instead of water (rains, rivers, lakes) and solid water ice for rocks and sand. Add volcanic activity with fountains of liquid ice (water, normal temperature water) instead of lava. Inhabitants of this world could be horrified by aliens, who can casually swim in "lava" and drink it.

Deserts so hot that sun turns sand into glass at some places.

Ocean world (yeah, everybody loves them for some reason) with a twist: all ground is coral reefs. And they may or may not be sapient.

 

The Video Game biome. The super-biome that the entirety of the video game takes place in.

 

Desert Biome. Have you heard its soundtrack?

 

It's preeeetty sweet, I agree.

 

I'm definitely going to make the crystal biome my homeworld. I love the music for it! But I'll probably build/favorite an outpost on a tentacle/ocean planet too.

 

Swamps. Really big swamps with lots and lots of mud, quicksand, and fetid pools of water with trees so large and riddled with vines that it is hard to tell night from day. The acrid smell of decay is so thick it feels like tendrils seeking to pull you down. The only noticeable light comes from the occasional swamp gas flare and the bio-luminescent insects.

Oh' and the trees are carnivorous. Have fun~

 

After seeing the screenshot of Tiy in a fairy outfit with a Lego-block castle, I wonder if there'll be a Lego biome Could you imagine?! LEGO LAND!!

... or maybe a 'toy' land. That'd be cool too. Or a candy land!

 

A corruption type biome. I have a feeling we'll get that though...

 

I am looking forward them all with some curiousity.

As for a new biome or one in but not mentioned, I would like to see a Machine biome where everything including the ground, trees, landscape, and monsters are machine/made-of-metal

 

I hadn't even considered that! Awesome. A total mech world! Though there do seem to be mech-style trees that are possible, and monsters that are robots. So half-way there, eh?

 

Well it may already be a full biome, but I have not seen anything other then the trees and some mods.

 

Probably ocean biome once I'm done with the other biomes. It will be so peaceful and there are so many things to do in it: Fishing, building an underwater base, and tons of other things.

 

I hope the underwater biomes are thoroughly fleshed out, since those are my favorites. Other than that, I would like to see some crystal biomes and a GIANT forest biome. Alice in wonderland style, with flowers 2-3x as big as you. Completely inorganic planets with inorganic inhabitants would be cool, but that isn't really a single biome.

 

There are a lot of biomes I'd like to see, as many of us I suppose. Biomes such as ice/water themes biomes (or big badass icy dungeon), biomes that represent gaz planets with tiny dust to move from floating island to island, mechanical/energy biomes (such as a biome where everything is slowed down) etc.

 

A biome with purple or blue dirt and or grass. There are plenty biomes like this already seen in many screenshots.
