Biggest WTF WAS THAT! Moment

Yesterday me and my friend was near the planet core, and start showing magma rock, but just a little more down and for some reason (maybe bug) was extremely cold, more then snow planets i could not stand the cold for more then 4 sec, then i go down some more and its hot again

 

First time I encountered tiny birds puking blood all over you.

 

My biggest WTF was flesh trees with ovaries on top.

 

I ran into blood puking turtles with almoast human faces.

At 2am.

with the lights out.

 

My 3rd try of the dragon boss, after kiting it successfully with a gun and gravity bubble and killing it midair, I chased the starmap to the ground as it fell, as i slowed my decent getting ready to land a monster jumped up and finished me off before i could retrieve the star map. Ended up having to do the boss again for the drop.

I was playing by myself getting some Titanium and uranium I get close to the core (at least I think it was) AND I FOUND FLESH BLOCKS! I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK? I COULD STAND THE EYEBALL TREES FUCK EVEN THE BONEFIELDS BUT THIS? WTF IS THIS? WTF?

I'm sure most people have found an outhouse dungeon, but for me it was the outhouse dungeon. With the poop monsters.

 

Anyway, while we're here, NOTHING has the same "WTF" factor as your first giant meteor hitting the ground near you (or on you)

 

in game or while playing?
in game is when I was mining and jumped down a small drop I could see the bottom of... and kept falling, and falling and falling. I survived with one hp left and proceeded to wall myself in and heal up to full. ever since then I made sure to look before I leap (unless im in admin mode)
while playing once my friend crinkled a plastic bag in my ear and caused me to accidentally attack a village guard, accidental ghost town

 

It has to be the very first time I summoned Dreadwing with the Distress Signal.
I mean, sure, it said in it's description to "be ready for anything". But a penguin army landing on top of my roof, lead by a penguin inside a flying saucer that proceeded to smash through said roof and one hit kill me was not within the realm of expectations at the time...

 

I was exploring an Avian Airship in a volcanic planet that I just finally maanged to get into after my character wouldn't stop double-dashing out of my platforms due to the extreme lag I was suffering. Then, embers appeared and proceeded to ravage the airplane, some of the Avian crew falling to their doom. And then a giant meteor appears that destroyed most of the airship and killed a lot of the crew, which I just barely managed to dodge.

The result was a completely ravaged airship that was more of an obstacle course since you had to jump between the floating chunks that weren't damaged. Lesson learned today: Wooden Airships don't go well with Volcanic Planets.

 

Mine was in one of the Koala builds just after an update, I went to my home planet to pack up some of my stuff to move to the same base as another player, when a giant meteor fell from the sky and obliterated my house with me in it - when I came back there was just a deep hole where my house used to be.

Another time that comes close was when I was exploring a planet with my partner and we came to our first Glitch castle, and we opened the door only to get splattered by the lancer on the horse

 

I was digging around when I found some tiny houses. When I destroyed them, I found something deeply disturbing: a ball made out of gnomes.
Then there was another time back in Enraged Koala. I was on my starter planet when I found an Avian Airship. I bought some guns and stole some of their stuff, and was about to leave when I heard a loud crashing noise. Above me, giant meteors were pummeling the poor wooden ship. I hid down in the bottom and waited for the chaos to end. About ten minutes later, I emerged from the wreckage, got some pixels from the dead pirates, and ran far away.

 

Just port on to a volcano planet. Took a look around and take a deep breath of the sulfuric atmosphere, then suddenly I saw light appear on the corner of my screen.

I was like, "what is that?"

Then a huge meteor dropped on me, wiping me out along with the ground underneath.

Throw those gnomes. You may be scarred for life.

 

Underground flesh biomes make me feel like I've dug into the side of some titanic underground beast and I'm looting its guts. They're probably just planet-destroying-tentacle-larvae and I'm actually doing the planet a favor.

 

Mine was also an Avian Airship story: When I first began playing SB and found my first airship, I looked all around and looted some boxes, bought a few guns, etc. Then I hopped up to the deck and was chatting with some guards up top. I was all stoked and happy from finding my first guns and was frolicking about the deck with my new feathered friends. I was hopping, hopping, hopping with joy. And then I hopped up to check out that sweet crow's nest... but was immediately dismembered by propellers and my entrails littering various parts of the airship on their way down. Scared the hell out of me, and at the same time, I was like: wtf?

 

When i was exploring a dead planet, one of those huge metor's landed right on top of me, but i didn't actually see fall from the sky, so it was a just 'lalala exploring an- WHAT?' kinda moment, since, y' know, walking along a planet then metor rock is spewed everywhere with a rather loud noise, that can make you jump a little

 

"alien juice". Enof said.
