Bought a ton of pumpkin seeds because I wanted to put them in kegs. Maybe 100 of them. I wanted to make a portion of the farm just for pumpkins. Anyways, I bought 100, and then thought it'd be smart press the X (xbox) button to try and split the stack I just made... well I accidentally just ended up selling all the seeds back to Pierre for a heavy discount.
I've done that on a vanilla save. I was going to move the stack in my backpack. Didn't think about it selling it once I clicked it. Thankfully I didn't do much in the game I could just close the game without saving and I could start the day over.
Bombs... in the quarry... make ore go away. Also, forgetting I had the shipping box open and go to rearrange items in my inventory and not realize where everything had gone... and walk away confused and go to bed.
Done this SO MANY TIMES... Today I goofed too. Bought 100+ pumpkin seeds and accidentally put them in the shipping box... kms... I don't think I've made any huge mistakes though besides missing chances to plant and accidentally shipping stuff I didn't mean to.
Make ore go away? I just recently was heading off to Robin's when I passed her on the way, heading to Aerobic Tuesday.
I don't know if it's supposed to do this, but I found when I used bombs to clear the quarry, any ore or gem node would get blown up and the ore or gem would be gone... nothing to collect. Rocks worked fine.
Just gave myself a big face palm moment. I made the mistake on my vanilla save of putting the "return scepter" on the #1 slot on my toolbar. I use the mouse wheel to go between 2 and 3 for sword and pickaxe. I might have scrolled to far without noticing and poof back to my farm haha. I'll keep that item lower in my backpack so this won't happen again.
I keep it on the second row and force myself to move it to the top row every time I need it for that exact reason. I would scream IRL if I zapped myself out of the Skull Cavern on a good run.
Yes, NEVER use bombs in the quarry, they destroy the materials that come out. Not sure if it's a glitch or of Eric Barone purposely programmed the game like that.
Yeah... was a sad realization... especially since it was just after the quarry had opened up for me and I had found my first Mystic stone. I was looking forward to the Iridium ore. Well... that was a rude wake up!
Try having a defective (old) mouse that keeps registering one click as two - was trying to buy seeds one day, bought and immediately sold back a dozen grape starters like 6 times until I learned to just buy them one at a time until I had enough. Luckily money wasn't too much of a problem at that point but it was still pretty frustrating.
I've done something similar LuthienNightwolf. On my current mouse when my laptop is in my room. I set up an auto click macro for clicker heroes. I accidentally clicked that on and before I could turn it off I hit a couple things in my backpack and it sold it all back. Luckily as you, money wasn't an issue. Just upset me more than anything.
Seems that I keep wanting to get things on Tuesday, forgetting that Robin is off at Caroline's! Seriously, so many times I've had to wait till Wednesday because Robin's off at Caroline's with the other gals... Robin, don't you understand that a $10,000 project is more important than working out with the other gals?
Hint-- you can catch Robin on Tuesdays /before/ she leaves for the class if you're at her place first thing when it opens. Just keep clicking on her register as she walks past on her way to the door, and when she's actually in the same room as the counter you'll get the shop menu. You can hit her up for any business you need and then let her continue on to her exercise meetup.
You partly solved aerobic tuesday! I didn't figure something like this out since release. On my next farm tuesdays won't hinder my growth. I never do much animal farming so Marnie taking a day off doesn't hurt me much.
Hmm that makes me wonder. You can do something similar with the ice cream stand, if anyone is walking by it you can use it and if no one is around you can park your horse behind it and your horse will sell you ice cream. So is the trigger for a shop to work just NPC proximity to the register generically? Has anyone tried or can anyone try using it when they are "closed" but Sebby Maru or Demetrius walks by? How about Marnie with Jas or Shane? The question here is will just *anyone* ring you up or must it be the shop owner, and does anyone else walk close enough to the register to trigger it anyway?
If the theory about 'any NPC' is true... then what's to stop us from raising Slimes inside their premises and seeing if the slimes-- who count as NPC's for the purposes of the dialogue engine, anyway-- will staff the counter for us? Ohhh, @LuthienNightwolf ... we've got a slime experiment for yooooooouu....
lol I can try, can't guarantee the actual npc's won't destroy the incubators walking through there though. I just put one in Pierre's house where they have aerobic Tuesday for Sunlite since he asked, I'll let that colony get established and then I'll try some more in the shops.
