My suggestion for mobs is the idea of a "predator"-like aspect to hunting different types of hostile or neutral mobs are out there in Starbound. I was thinking of some sort of Big game hunting aspect to the herds of mobs that run around. This might take a lot of effort to do, considering the drops of each mob will be tweaked. However, I was thinking of monsters having a chance or having a way to craft a trophy or head mount of the mob to display in your space ship. I'm a bit of a hoarder and I do enjoy decorating my ship and figuring out what mobs there are in different planets so why not? It would be cool to have a trophy section in my ship or a main place where people could see the collections of mobs I have gathered.
Trophies.. Ah, trophies. They make me hunt bosses RUTHLESSLY. And I love every second of it, too. Because I see something in the game that looks so damn amazing that I know I'd want to go back and say "Hey. I killed that incredibly insane mob. And here's proof." Definitely on-board for a trophy-hunting feature.
I actually like this idea a lot, it adds more to the game. That said, this would only work if minibosses and rare mobs worked differently, because me and my friends have been able to win almost every fight we've gotten into by building dirt boxes around our enemies.
This sounds like a cool idea. First thing that came to mind was a similar feature in Fable where you could mount trophies from certain creatures you killed in your house.
