A planet made mostly of computer whizz bianary numbers and codes and populated by half robot/creatures made up of bianary, if you catch my drift. Not really sure how that would make sense or come into fruitition but you have a tentacle planet, im sure there is a place for this.

The deeper you go into the planet the more and more tech wise it becomes (Living humanoid bodies of pure bianary anybody?)

  2. Fuzbal

    Fuzbal Phantasmal Quasar

interesting, confusing, cool, all at the same time. :D maybe you would need like a computer to fight the binary creatures.

Im pretty sure conventional methods would apply, though perhaps energy based weapons do more damaged as opposed to other weapons.

And here I was thinking this was going to be 2 planets held together by their mutual gravitational pull.

    Slimunkey and TicklyCactus like this.
  5. Evinagro

    Evinagro Cosmic Narwhal

clockworks of Spiral Knights, but 2D-ified cool

That's exactly what I thuoght. If it were like that, there could be some synchronous planets ( with each side permanently facing the other planet like the moon faces us and you could build a bridge between them.

you should make a thread! cats are cool man

Oh man, I was expecting something more like what binary stars do, only with two planets of equal size orbiting each other very closely =P So like, you could fly directly up from the surface of one planet, and after a while swap atmospheres and land on the surface of the other planet directly above you!

But anyway, as cool as your idea sounds, I don't think it would really fit the universe that well... Perhaps it could be some form of "simulated planet", and maybe the devs can get some inspiration from it though, so props to your creativity!

    TicklyCactus and BrutorDragon like this.
  9. Kretus

    Kretus Scruffy Nerf-Herder

This idea seems more like an easter egg than an actual feature. Maybe through all of that binary you can find NPC versions of the developer team that say things like "Uh oh. This planet may be broken. Just ignore it Player and move on with your life" and maybe some other 4th wall breaking dialogue.

  10. Oricalcum

    Oricalcum Ketchup Robot

Sounds pretty cool, kinda reminds me of the Death Star from... do I need to say?

I expect a blue screen of death if you break any vital equipment.

  12. Bombzero

    Bombzero Giant Laser Beams

The day you do is the day I lose faith in humanity.. =p

Excuse my bluntness but it would completely screw any sense of immersion. It's better than the candy biome idea I read earlier somewhere but still...

Just have a computer and bianary themed planet, anything else suggested doesnt have to be there.

Dunno, a tech planet would be nice but the binary things (do you mean creatures made of 1 and 0?), this seems really far of the game theme.

  16. BrutorDragon

    BrutorDragon Tiy's Beard

Sounds fun...will it...you know...take over my ship destroy it and force mew to build one from scratch? Thats what im getting out of this...

  17. jesyspa

    jesyspa Space Hobo

Binary is so old-fashioned, why not make it hexadecimal?

  18. HanSolo381

    HanSolo381 Void-Bound Voyager

Maybe there could be a virtual world accessible from computers, where all creatures and NPCs communicate in binary code. No classic weapons or tools work there, you have to use special ones found in the virtual world. Your enemies in there are viruses and other malware. 0101001101110100011000010111001001100010011011110111010101101110011001000010000001000110010101000101011100100001 (Translate it yourselves :) )

  19. Qastra

    Qastra Orbital Explorer

populated by glitch. sounds cool, can it be a programmable world where any explorer could decide how the planet terrain is created and changed.
