Glad to see this. Made my day. Yes, this is what I mean by 'It.' Either is good. I personally like the Fractals more for the role of 'It' though.

I'm all for some space-based encounters, and sure... even some space-based exploration! It'd be fun to fly around in space in our fancy ships.

But I particularly love the idea of having the 'coordinate' seeds represent more than just planets. Having them have the ability to take you to a ship graveyard, or stumble across some ancient space station long-overrun with some kind of fungus, or an entire spacer colony of folks who might be willing to trade and barter with you... if you're not too much of a jerk. There's so much room for things like this... it's such a massive universe... it'd be a shame to never see anything but varying shades of rock.

Heck! It might even be interesting to find some coordinates that take you into very close proximity to stars! Maybe find some ships that are trapped there in the massive gravitational field, slowly scorching away under the intense heat and radiation.

Anyways, yes. I love the idea.

    Here's my ideal Starbound.
    TRAVEL: [entercoordinate]
    ---(12,7)
    [loading...]
    [arrival]
[Alpha Zerchi System. contains: 1 regular yellow star, 2 planets, asteroid field]

Not as a script obviously. That's more how I want things to progress. Following that, I could limitedly fly my ship about the Alpha Zerchi system and explore places (e.g. enter the asteroid field, explore the two planets (land on the star with some BAMF space gear?))

[edit: noticed I had insufficient parentheses]

I would love to see broken ships floating around where you can find loot, but it would also be cool to see space pirates going for the same loot you're going for. I would love to see space pirates as an enemy, but more common in these areas

This game's going to be an awesome Samus Aran-sandbox :D
