I know you folks probably have you hands full just putting together standard biomes, but do you plan to implement nonstandard world geometries at some point?

It'd be really cool if it could spawn Ship Graveyards. Where there's just a maze of different ship hulls that have rammed together both horizontally and vertically. It'd be less horizontally oriented than a planet biome, and it'd feel more like the Metroid 1 map. You could roleplay a salvager who got stranded there and decided to build a home. =)

Also, it'd be cool if you could spawn Mega Space Stations in a similar way. With big intersecting corridors in all directions. Civilizations built on the vertical axis.

This could be one way of salvaging new tech for yourself and your ship, locating ancient space battles between different or even same races. But you would have to be careful, who is to say someone else didnt get the same idea as you, Penguin Space Pirates, looking for lost and ancient treasure and tech :D

Sounds cool, maybe you could find a working ship in the graveyards.

and finding a Mega Space Station would be fun to blow up!

Same thing here for not-hostile situations. Perhaps the Ship Graveyard is being occupated as well while you explore, and you can make good relationship with the small community in development there. Or the Ship Graveyard is not made only of destroyed ships, but is really a big salvage ship catching others around, and you just haven't figured it out.

It'd be fun to go into a room and blow a hole in a wall (and through the hull). Ruin their little pressurized environment.

Maybe the devs could tweak the fluid/water physics to handle the outgassing to space. Sounds like the already have various atmospheric effects in place. I'm probably thinking too big here, but that would be fun.

I was thinking the same thing. Mark these sort of structures as hard, infest them with nasty vermin, and spawn goodies deep inside. Sort of a "boss level" with different and challenging gameplay instead of a boss enemy.

Yes! I would "Love" too see there so organized life go to ruin in just a few hours.

The first effects would be plants dying.
    Then the water vaporizing.
Then the people would die off.
Then i would start my own civilization in the wasteland that was ones there own, and i would rebuild the environment so it would be liveable again.

    The end.

Yeah, looting deserted space-ships is always fun! Maybe they could a chance of 1/100 that when you find a spaceship graveyard a functional little ship would lie in there! And after you salvaged a lot of parts, you could just fly out of there with your new vehicle!

More people with the same idea is a good thing instead!

It doesn't need to be a special area. There could be a bunch of proceduraly generated "Broken" space ships that are made out of the games"Blocks" and mashed together. Then the whole mass could be a planet with a surface of "Ship Graveyard"

I think it would be cool if a ship was abandoned and had like a bit of damage and there are like zombies and space mutants and you have to rescue the survivors from the ship.

I like this idea. In general I think the idea of space born environments. Any excuse to pull out a star fighter really.

All i can think of is Dead Space with derelict spaceships and stations.
Zombies or weird alien parasites everywhere!

I really like this idea. Having a billion random planets is cool, but having actually different THINGS to visit, ship graveyards, asteroids, abandoned stations, etc.. that's what makes the universe feel real.

You hould be able to intercept space ships and raid them while people on them. mwahaha

I really really like this idea, but I have to ask, how would gravity work?

isn't that kinda... well it has nothing to do with his idea?

Or the gravity effect is null, and jetpacks, hookshots and other ways to move would be a necessity to avoid pinballing yourself through the place, or there could be some small gravity, related to a moon or a planet(perhaps the Space Hulk is a sattelite of a celestial body?) and you would need to deal with gravity direction not made to the way the ships are positioned.

Or there is artificial gravity, made by rotacional movement of the whole thing. Artificial generations could exist as well... and make the whole thing a mess: supposing that each ship has an artificial generator, a Ship Graveyard has multiple different ways to explode, implode or break with the press of a button.
