I heard somewhere that beta keys will be given out depending on when you joined not post count

 

Me too! I mean, i personally don't care. But it's... im not sure. xD i dont feel good about that.

 

This is good, news.. although my luck it will be cut off the day before I joined heh For those of us who don't post a lot, this is a much preferable way, but who knows if that is actually how its going to be. Any idea where you saw that at?

 

unfortunately no I am going completely on word of mouth from someone I trust
If this turns out to be a rumor sorry I have helped spread it
but I believe that it is at least partially true regardless

I might be the only one, but I hope this true cause it might influence post counts if it depended on that (But that's been talked to death, and I lost my dead horse picture heh)

 

Even if its a lie, then who cares? soooo everyone gets one or there wont be one ya know?

Would definetly be awesome, but I would't be sad if it turns out that it was just a rumor. I will play the game somewhere in the near future, I don't really care if its when the beta starts or when the game is released.

 

I just want to see how this all turns out. I want to see the mechanics and building potential In this game, and a beta would be hard pressed to complete assuage my limitless Ideas for structures and what not

 

Honestly the barebones mechanics being revealed would make this game a lot less mysterious
but without that all we can do is speculate as to what the game WILL be
not what it already is

 

Well considering how long this beta phase is I could wait. Still It doesn't hurt to see what I could potential do.

Then I wait a few months. Could Wait a few more if I'm not selected for a Beta Pass.

 

Given how far off the actual game looks to be, a beta is always promising, but again I wouldn't expect it all together, lest we all get our hopes up. Besides I'd be willing to wait to get a far better product in the end~

 

Things that crush people the most with games is getting all hyped up for things that were never actually promised.

Well that has to be promised. We even have the sound effects worked out and everything!

 

Beta testing is a double-edged sword. On the one hand you get a risk of leaks, disappointment from the community and a whole host of other problems that just come with the principle. At the same time, developers may find bugs they might not have found otherwise due to their play style. However the dev's go on this one, I'll support it.

 

So essentially a closed beta is what you suggest...

 

From what I understand from lurking the beta threads, the logic is pointing towards closed. an NDA is also likely.
