Beta Testers.....

Beta testing is awesome, its like filling a condom up with water before you use it.
Y'know, so you know its good!

Course, while you wasted a bunch of time testing the condom, your girlfriend/lover started texting someone, and now she isn't in the mood

I think it MUST be a closed one with very few beta testers.

Ill rather see a good beta test where the testers communicate alot with the devs then having a bunch of people complaining about how bad the game is/just playing beta without pointing out bugs to the devs.

BUT, if they plan on a good solid PvP platform too, then they would need an open beta test for balance, stress test etc.


The devs probably know all this so try to find suggestions to the game insted of asking for beta, there will be enough of games this year for us to wait for this awesome game .

 

Yeah, get someone like PBat or TotalBiscuit or NintendoCapriSun to do a Let's Play of the beta!
That would be so awesome.

 

I have to say that Ill rather hear the voice of an dev talking a kind of making of while they also explain key gameplay elements

 

honestly evn if they dont have beta testing to the public i dont care i would like to b a beta tester i've always wanted to b a beta tester and would b honered if they did do testing and i got in but it wont bother if i don't.

 

Beta testing would be good and I would like to be one (Wink-Wink ;D) but the devs will most likely give the beta-tester award to the people who can promote the game (let's players etc.)

They will probably no doubt do what they did for Terraria, but personally I enjoyed the open beta of MC. May not have ever bought it if I hadn't.

 

Or closed beta for a few select commentators who make videos for the devs that could be released publically post-game release...

yeah they did and honestly if i got beta for this i would want to make lets play but i wonder if they would let beta testers do lets plays?

Do a reverse minecraft alpha. €100 for initial alpha release, the more feature complete, the cheaper the game gets.

 

Since they are aiming for Steam, that would convert to $100 for me, which I'd be more than willing to pay o.o
