Bandages and food are obvious stockups. I think the gamma sector boss is the bone dragon, which can actually be a massive pain in the butt, you'll probably need a ranged weapon before you tackle that one since it's tough to melee it without getting beaten around by it's wings. In general you might also want to try to stock up on blue and green stims for speed boost and jump boost though.

Dood, try make the Portable Scanner Upgrade on the robotic table, dood, with it you will able to print defense turrets at the 3D printer, everyone loves automatic defenses dood! Also will help you against the skullgreymon bone dragon's flying capabilities, dood! (but he will have to fly near the turrets)

what i did when i fought him was just stocked up on bandages about 100 bandages 20 red stims and best ranged weapon i could get and i just ran around in circles shooting at him took awhile but it was relatively easy if you avoid the fire breath.Something ive noticed about the fire breath is if you get one of those eagle like things that let you falcon punch things well that the exact same thing as the dragons breath except the dragon shoots out like 20 of them all at once and makes it look like a straight line of breathe.I realize i talk way to much and get easily distracted.

Scrap bandages unless you have no other options, and focus on gathering Red Stims and making desserts with multiple ingredients in their requirements. Glitch food seems to be the most readily obtained for this purpose, so keep raiding Glitch Castles and other settlements until you run into something like Sweet Time, Black Current Crumble, or similar. They have a strong, long-lasting regen that will let you worry that little bit less about damage, plus they give out a speed boost for the better part of 20 seconds so you can run circles around the Bone Dragon more readily. Weapon-wise, get a gun and forget about going into melee against it. As of current it's hitboxes are huge and awkward and can actually hit you if you're too close even if you're not actually touching it.

Getting a good gun might take a while, but ranged is infinitely better than melee when going up against this thing. Obviously you want things like Titanium armor too, and if you have access to any decent techs they might do well here too. Beyond that, pick a spot with good cover in case you have to stop and rest up and summon it from there. It can't break blocks with its fire, at least stone-tough blocks or better, so it's possible to use hit and run tactics with it too. It'll take some time to bring down no matter what option you pick, so just keep at it and don't give up.

A forest green cape and assassin's cowl are necessities.

Or what you could do is instead of strategizing, you could just set the Bone Dragon loose on an Avian Airship

Bone dragon wasn't particularly hard: http://starbounder.org/Bone_Dragon

You just do what you do in every sector, make the best gear and weapons, do the tech upgrade, make the best gear and weapons, defeat the boss, go to the next sector, repeat.

Don't be afraid about "moving to fast." I dd that in my first playthrough, afraid of the penguin ship because I thought my gear was good enough or something. Then i obliterated him. Then fallen robot, then a bone dragon, then the jelly man.

And I breezed through Sector X. Was almost saddened by how easy it was, but it did free me up to get creative instead of having to worry about reaching the next tier.
