If that was the case, wouldn't we have gotten our weekly Friday updates on the preceding Monday?

Blerg... Black Friday at an end at last.

So tired. Thinking to self - at least Starbound isn't released today, forcing me to choose between playing and sleep.

Come home. Not only reminded that I have been gifted Binding of Isaac, but also find Super Scribblenauts and Scribblenauts Unlimited on my chair, gifts from my fiance.

3 games to play... AND ONLY FOURVE* DAYS UNTIL STARBOUND.

SO SLEEP. MUCH TIRED.

*It's a new number, beeches. Refers to the waveform that exists when we don't know what time on the 4th the Beta will drop, meaning we don't know whether to count that day or not.

NOTE: Scribblenauts Unlimited has probably the worst opening sequence of any game I have played ever. Awful voice acting and writing that goes on FOREVER

Still a fun game and series, however.

 

4 days and 5 hours left until the Beta release according to Starbounder's countdown. So happy!

Can't decide if I want to get back into playing Don't Starve in the meantime. There's been loads of updates since I last played. Worried I might get too into it and have to abandon it for Starbound though. :'D Regardless, Starbound is going to trump any game I'll be playing at the time.

 

I just got that game in a Giveaway, and I don't know why, but Scribblenauts just makes me incredibly happy for some reason. Maybe it's the cheery music, maybe it's the cute way everyone in the game is portrayed, and maybe it's the way all the puzzles can be solved using nothing but silly answers, but something about that game just makes me want to smile the entire time I play it.

 

The thing is it's popular enough to have people petitioning to put Reggie in the new Super Smash Bros. I routinely rage about Super Smash Bros.

NO! SUPER SMASH BROS IS FOR NINTENDO CHARACTERS! I'M STILL MAD SONIC AND SNAKE WAS IN BRAWL! NOW THEY'RE ADDING IN MEGAMAN! REGGIE ISN'T EVEN A VIDEO GAME CHARACTER!

 

You mean the dude from Nintendo of America?! WTF? Heck no, I hope Nintendo has enough sense to ignore that. I wasn't mad about Snake being in because his first game was on Gameboy, but Sonic's appearance in the Mario and Sonic at the Olympics Games didn't justify putting him into Smash. Megaman makes sense, again, because he has a decent history with Nintendo. But the Wii Fit Trainer? That pissed me right off.

 

The sale isn't mandatory Another good reason to schedule *after* the sale is that the people who would likely to be disappointed with phase 1 will be distracted with their new games and the thousands of us downloading the beta won't be competing for download bandwidth on the mirrors with the sale buyers.

 

Couldn't they just have the stupid fucking Miis® and have a custome for it that looks like Reggie?

That was actually Sakurai trolling everyone, and when he got a surprisingly positive response centered around memes, he went with it.

 

If he's like that with who he puts into the game, I guess we can expect Reggie in SSB4.

I'm not sure how memes would give that good of an idea about it being well-received, but nothing we can do now. I still think it's the dumbest character to be put in so far.
