Keep in mind that they didn't farm, like, at all. And only hunted for meat one unit at a time. So... I think it's probably fine where it is

 

I don't like the entire "can only get meat with special bow" mechanic. Bullets don't poison meat! And neither do knives or swords. You know the saying "No matter how you slice it..."?

They didn't farm much, true, but entering a medium dungeon, exploring it, and exiting was enough to empty the hunger meter twice over. Even with a farm at home, it feels a bit fast to me. Not only that, but animals drop very little meat for their size. A human can live on the meat from one deer for several days, at least. It all feels very artificial, especially in a sci-fi setting.

Like I said, though, these rates will no doubt remain in flux for some time as more data gets collected.

 

I wouldn't mind if certain weapons.. such as explosive, acidic, or some forms of energy left nothing behind. It would make sense in those cases that you simply blew or or melted everything to tiny bits. Everything else as you said though would be likely to leave something edible.

 

yeah, but it's nothing that i will mind much, this only restricts me to getting meat, but i can have a farm, pick a lot of vegetables and carry them around with me, so when i get hungry i just eat them. There, no ead to hunt anymore

 

Thanks for this. I had missed the stream as well. I like the fact that some of the decorative dungeon pieces could be used as beds. I shall have a sarcophagi as my bed in my late-game house. Guaranteed.

Exactly: it seems like removing certain weapons from the "can drop meat" list makes infinitely more sense than arbitrarily declaring that the only way to feed yourself is using stone-age technology.

Not that I'm entirely against the idea of carpet-bombing my breakfast, but I do prefer a bit of sensibility...

 

Is there a suggestion already for this "drops meat" tag for weapons?
