I haven't been here as long, but I gotta agree. Some of the arguments are, well, pointless. And usually end with everyone upset.

 

I was about to reply something like that too after seeing the arguing and no one answered my question, from seeing that now I think that this 200+ pages are only pointless posts, arguing and none info.
But I guess I don't have to say no more, there's still someone in the middle of the rumble that get's the point.

Anyway I'll try again: I don't remember seeing any information about the beta that forbids me from doing videos for youtube, am I right? Can I actually do it?

Will we be able to buy the beta on steam? I couldn't pre-order and want to know if I can get it on steam without the steam key you get from pre-ordering.

 

i think so, tiy did show a steam page for it
games that are invite olny dont have steam pages

besides the comminity voted for steam, so if its not on steam people will be pissed

Nah there's nothing else for now, I know what to expect from this first stage of the beta coming this 4 dec, and I'm ready to help in any way ofc.

I think I'll do a log somewhere here in the forums to tell what I think after some hours of playing it

 

I am looking forward to the Beta finally being available. I would have purchased the pre order months ago but instead I decided to wait for a more solid date.

I thought i was alone, i can't bear people who ENJOY currents AAA games ... i've put my hope in the indie scene only ..i'm even disapointed about FF XV .. and i can't wait anymore KH 3 i lost all the interest i had for this game
I'm stick with emulators and indie project, i have lost the faith in the GAME in general

Why the fuck the last decade is a total MESS ? Marketing, Communication , Money , they have all destroyed the soul of developers, they don't know how to make games anymore .. they think graphics = game ...haha well

I'm learning some programation stuff and pixel art, i'm gonna make something a day

Sure, most games lost their quality, but there are some great AAA games out there. Also, why are you disappointed with FFXV? I'm getting a PS4 just because of it, it's so awesome

But we'll stick to Starbound awesomeness for now

 

Because, it's not a FF game anymore i really miss the Square Soft era, i almost cryed when i played FF XIII for the first time, i was Angry and Sad, FF is dead
It's not the same feeling anymore, they are great game but not what a FF should be

Same story for Zelda games unfortunately

 

I actually strongly disagree. Sure, Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 really don't feel like Final Fantasy, but XV really set me back to the FF mood I got to know and love. Sure, the battle system is different, but personally I think action-RPGs are much more fun and refreshing. As for the Zelda games, I don't know about the new title being produced, by Skyward Sword was amazing.

Now, as a game developer myself, I must say that we have to keep up with current audience. Unfortunately, there's a new generation of gamers (which I'm really not very fond of) that should be taken in consideration. Also, you say that game companies are only worried about money, but triple-A games can cost up to 250 million dollars to be produced; You can see how this can do a major damage to a company's pocket if it doesn't worry about making money. So I don't totally agree with the big developers, but I sure as hell understand.
