I'd rather have a good game to play than a buggy game so I really don't care whether it takes a while to get to a beta stage.

 

I'd much rather it not be announced a few days in advance, more a surprise. So then I don't have to sit there and wait for that day to come, like Terraria 1.2 when it was announced for the first I could have died from anticipation leading up to it. Haha.

 

I'd love at least a week's warning. Then I can rush to finish up the games I'm currently playing.

 

I'd like an early notice even one day early notice cuz...

If you're reading e-mail while driving its your own fault for getting into a car accident, so I guess I can thank you for cleaning the gene pool if that were to happen.

If you dont want to play a buggy game then dont play the beta. Because its a beta, and its going to be buggy and largely incomplete. If anything look at the beta as a sign that the game is nearing completion.

Beta can be buggy all it wants, I was just saying that I'd rather they iron out most of the flaws before they release it. I know beta won't be perfect.

 

Depending on how they plan to release bugfixes and updates, it may not even make much of a difference. If they manage to create a system that will update as you play, then it won't be such an inconvenience to get new versions and releasing it a bit earlier wouldn't make that much of a difference.
But if they started uploading a new version somewhere on the page once a week, then getting the early one may become a burden instead of a piece of pleasure and joy. Imagine finding a gamebreaking bug and having to wait another week for it to get fixed, just because you got the pre-beta version. I'm pretty sure you'd be all frowny-face rather than "at least I got to play it earlier-er"-face.

Not exactly a Dick Move, more like a sneaky move. They didn't do anything wrong, it's just the community around here that gets the wrong idea more often than not. Like it has been said many, many times - everything that they've done so far has been in preparation for beta, which is, logically, the preparation for the full release. They could use the word "beta" in every update and it would be correct.

 

I hope beta never comes out, because then this thread will go away. Then where will I go? What will I do?

hmm i hope the beta will get released soon so i have something good to play untill next year

 

Beta word is dropped in the update, 3 days silence. Please let this be true. Would be kinda lame to release it in December ,IMO they then only used 2013 to get a hype train and preorders achieved. Because if they haven't don that, allot less people would have preorderd it.
It reminds me of people that make a appointment with you but only show up on the last minute.
