Beta, Full Game and Soundtrack Download Sizes.(Approx)

I want to get the Starbound Pre-order but need to know the approximate or estimated download sizes. If anyone could help it would be great!
P.S. Added a questionaire below, might be useful for the Devs.!

 

Soundtrack is about 600 mb.
As for the beta and game we do not know at this point in time.
I would be ok with the game being any size.

Far in a IRC discussion with somebody who had access to Starbound Private Alpha, the game as about ~300MB. But it was very incomplete and with tons of content to be added.

BUT it's very very very very unlikely Starbound will go UP 1GB.
From Minecraft to Terraria and most other Indies, the sizes are very small.

 

You should add a no preference option, as I frankly don't really care. It's going to be as big as it's going to be so it doesn't really matter! It'll be small compared to AAA games nowadays anyway

I'm unfamiliar with sound files.

On topic, definitely indifferent here.
It could be bigger than WoW at some 30 gb and I'd be happy.

 

The poll is quite odd. How big do I want the download to be? As small as possible, takes less space on Hard Drive. How much do I think it'll be? I don't know. Something around Terraria or Minecraft's size.

 

not more than 2gb,think how much Terraria offers and have only 50mb size!

All the audio format is .xnb
see the size,no soundtrack on terraria is more than 600kb

 

Xnb was an XNA pipeline asset, much different than a custom engine's assets. Usually raw/custom files like bartwe's .object files for modules, or .ogg.

Also Starbound won't ever reach >3gb. I'm being cautious there, if I didn't know that the game was very modular and easy to add content, I'd say 1gb at max.

In that case, I'd be willing to bet that the soundtrack is not the same format (or even level of detail, the kbps) the game uses, and as such the game will be smaller.
Because if the game at last measure was 600 mb, the current soundtrack would take all that space up.

As stupid as it may sound, the more giga we will have, the more features we will have. So 5GB+ for sure.

 

All of the above was an option, so... yeah...

 

If Starbound were about 5GB would be fine for me! More content
