Beta Countdown.

I made a little countdown for the beta. You can watch your life go by as you wait for the beta.

It's up to Steam, the devs have no idea, so they can't give us a time.

Based on what I've observed about devs sending stuff to Steam to be updated at their leisure (with Dungeon Defenders primarily) they usually do 3pm-6pm EST. So look for it whatever time that means to you.

 

This will depend hugely of Steam, after the sales there may be or not a delay, the times are really complicated to give. As i experienced with most games i where looking to buy on steam as release, the team times for it is always "now it's up to steam processing times make it public".

It's still hugely up to Steam when things change on their store. That's the usual time, so it'll likely show up, then. That also tends to be the time preorders unlock.

A lot of people have been asking if December 4th is based on a certain timezone, such as Tiy's in the UK or perhaps on Valve's time - but even if it was on Valve's time, it's up to them when it's implemented. But I do consider them to be pretty professional and feel that they'd do what they can to get the game ready as soon as they can for the projected date. Valve is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, USA, which is in the Pacific Time Zone (UTC-08:00), so take that as you will.

Steam usually updates at 10AM where I live (US West Coast). But unless we want to pay a second time, we're really waiting to receive emails with activation codes. And that could take who-knows-how-long with this many people to send it to. Unless it's done through humble bundle, in which case it'd likely be pretty fast.

 

I'm fairly sure it'd be done through humble bundle considering how the pre-order system worked.

 

Why would this be locked?
That countdown timer took effort to make and it's legitimately useful.
