Best soundtrack EVER!

I have been somewhat let down by most soundtracks I have encountered. So my expectations have been rather low for them in general.

Starbounds sountrack....is....AMAZING!! I can't get enough of it. Preordering was worth it just because of this. Now the game will feel like some form of super amazing best ever bonus!

I am extremely pleased right now.

 

I know right! I can spend hours listening to the soundtrack.

 

The soundtrack is pretty darn good, and varied enough for my liking. I'd rate it better than FTL's soundtrack for its genre.

However, I must say that the Bastion soundtrack is pretty great as well, especially the one used in their new upcoming game, Transistor. The song used in the trailer is bloody addictive.

 

it's pretty good but its no Bastion, Dustforce, Scott Pilgrim soundtrack.

It's up there though.

 

It really is a diverse soundtrack. Which is one of the reasons I am surprised that I love all of it. So much variation and all of it is amazing.

Bastion is one of the few other great sounds tracks (in my opinion). It had such an intense feel underlying the whole thing for me.

This. I also really like Ed Harrison's Neotokyo soundtrack, it's a shame it was never really used in the game.

 

All soundtracks are amazing, but my personal favorite is Glacial Horizon, and it's good to see I'm not alone with this one.

 

They should really give Solatrus and Curtis an orchestra. they really bloody deserve it.

 

Curtis did a stellar (lol puns) job on the soundtrack.

I'm probably not the only one who loves Vast, Immortal Suns to bits, but much of the Experimental Tracks folder is amazing too.

 

IMO, Forest Battle 1 is the best of the experimental soundtrack, followed by Desert Battle 1, then Tentacle Battle 1.

Also, I like Solatrus' official soundtrack much better than Curtis'. They have more...energy, should I say? I still like Curtis' soundtrack, but they're kinda boring to listen to. Maybe I should listen to them when I'm trying to fall asleep instead (I don't mean this as an insult, by the way).

Not dissing on Curtis at all, his experimental soundtrack is amazing and his official soundtrack is really good, but I just like Solatrus' three songs better.

 

I pretty much feel the same way. I really like Curtis' tracks and I have huge respect for his work, but I like Solatrus' style better.
To me the songs sound more refined and... I don't know if coherent is the right word, but they're just very well thought-out and put together.

 

I do like. I also really like your bloodelf sprite.

In my opinion most epic and aw inspiring one in the soundtrack.

 

While i do enjoy most of the songs of this soundtrack i expected a much more 8/16-bit feeling to most songs. (a bit like this)



But if i had to choose one from the soundtrack i would pick Via Aurora

 

Bloodleaf, ehe. I just recoloured the work of IcyOrio. I think I made some mistakes in the recolour. She's a florian not a blood elf though I can see the resemblance.

 

I have this hunch that Curtis has EWQLSO. If he's not using a real orchestra, that has to be it as it sounds so damn realistic.

 

Ah, I misread. However, I could tell she was leafy and assume was a Floran. Which I like much better anyway.
