Hi so I'm very new here I know it may be a pain but I have about no experience in modding, the closest i got was making a text mod for minecraft (oh yes the horror) So anyways, thought I'd ask if any modders had the time to create a "Modding for Dummies" type guide on how to create some custom codex's or even quests, as well as extremely simply basics for creating a custome race (becuase I'm fining there isnt very many races with a whole lot of depth to them-no offence to the modders making them) Also if a modder would like to work with me I'd be more than happy Thanks Awesome Community of Starbound
I'm always free for freelancing work, but nobody wants me. *sob* No, jk, uhm... I'll get to the codex and quest tutorial in a sec, since those are VERY basic ones. For the races, theres a template race mod somewhere to download, you can study that and learn from the assets within, as that's a bigger topic (regarding tutorials). Plus, I do only have theoretical experience in race modding.
Thanks a heap! Yeah i downloaded the template mod, crashed my game a couple of times (25 time) trying to get a race to work and just thought I'd maybe give that a rest for now. And what exactly do you mean by freelancing work?
If someone needs my help or assitance for really anything they'd just need to msg me. Including you. But so far I'm only sneaking upon random forum entries. Lol.
