When you beam down to a planet, the beaming system enters in recharging mode, and you have to wait atleast one day till you can go back to the ship. This way you have to stay in a planet and survive for a while, explore and stuff, rather than seeing a tree and saying: Nope, i dont like this planet, then go back up.

i don't think thats a very good idea. i like to have freedom in games, specially in these types of games. you can always decide for yourself that you're gonna stay on every planet at least 1 day. forcing this decision trough other people's throats isn't gonna contribute to a better game.
I feel like things such as this should be in a difficulty selection. Along with other things that make the game more challenging and interesting
I don't think it's necessary. Sounds like something that would be used in a hardcore mode or something. Outside of that, it probably won't appeal to most players.
I would like it. As long as it pertained to difficulty. If I was on the easiest difficulty, and I beamed down, and I couldn't beam up until tomorrow. *Gets eaten by giant monsters*
Link please? Yeah, I'm kind of in agreement here. I think perhaps a 10 second cooldown might be reasonable, especially for players on an easier setting, but waiting a whole day might be over kill (even an in-game 'day'). But I do see how this would make the game much more interesting. Don't just beam down to a planet without looking at it first or you might end up stuck there with some nasty stuff while you were just hoping for a quick swipe at a resource...
Not going to waste my time going back and trying to find the specific post from the devs. But there's a thread that one of the moderators keep up to date with all the official information that has been delivered. http://community.playstarbound.com/...nced-game-information-updated-april-15th.450/ At the end is a listing of things NOT in the game. Cooldowns is one of them.
It also says: (Unsure if this is just for weapons, or all items as well.) Doesnt mean anything. Also, they have the right to change their ideas whenever they wish to.
That implies that there is no cooldown on weapons, but we know some have different "fire rates", so I'm guessing that 'cooldown' might be a little ambiguous...
Hm, since all these guys talk about there is no cooldown system ever in place, how about a disable? It's disabled if: You are in battle (music starts playing) You are deep within the planet. You are in mid-air You are moving You have a debuff that reduces your HP And many many more, that would make sense. This should prevent abuse, yet still allow for freedom
I think this can do well with the tech trees ! Where you can, finding new tech, reduce the needed time to cool it down. But you cannot cancel the need of the cooldown!
