Beam me up Scotty?

Is it just me or is beaming to a party member's planet broken? At least it seems I cannot beam to a certain player's ship. I've tried relogging, and also going to their sector to no avail. Is it just bugged? or does that player need to reconnect to the server. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I'm the host of my server, and my friend can beam to my ship just fine. BUT, I can never beam to his ship at all. It'll just keep putting me back into my ship. Also, another thing that sucks. My friend activates his Starmap upgrades in my server, but when he goes back to singleplayer, the sectors aren't unlocked for him there.

It sometimes happens. You try to beam to a friend's ship and your sprite disappears but you're still on the planet and can take damage. Haven't found a way to fix it other than restarting the server.

I think sometimes not being able to beam down from your own ship 12 times in a row is worse, but both definitely need to be given a once over.

Just a quick trivia for you. "Beam me up, Scotty" was never actually said in TOS, or any of the canon motion pictures.
It was uttered by Kirk in a strongly disputed novel by Shatner himself. But if that novel is considered canon or non, is honestly up to you.
In TAS the phrase was, Beam us up, Scotty.

The correct catchphrase should be, Scotty, beam us up or, Beam us up, Scotty.

    Live long and prosper.

I don't think teleporting to party members is broken at all. It's much more streamlined than having them give you the coordinates of the planet they're on, then using your fuel to go to said planet which could use up to 200 of the stuff.

The system itself is fine; the problem is that there seems to be a bug, admittedly to be expected in beta's, that prevents people from zipping between ships sometimes.
