Yes and probably. If you want to get paid for what you do, and what you do requires popularity, then put yourself out there. Someone will find you if you try your best and you have a passion for it, after all, there is no Eminem without Dr. Dre or his fans. You'll do well in life, trust me. I'm a doctor. Not really, but I still have the intuition of a seasoned person who sees all his friends do great things so I think I know what I'm talking about.

 

Like I said, not too bad. I finished highschool a year early because of the system my school had (the top classes essentially did Years 9 and 10 in one year), and decided to have a year off before heading to University. But basically I watched anime and gamed, as well as hanging out with friends when they were out of school. I also went to school during lunchtime every now and then to say hi and hang out with some friends who were still there. Oh, and I did some weekly volunteer work at the town library. Overall, it was an enjoyable year.

If you're not sure about doing music or art for a living, you can always start it off as a more serious hobby. And like Igeloi's saying, coding and art - and even music - go well together in the form of games and apps. Maybe in your free time do some research and make a game or two? It doesn't have to be anything complicated. You could make flash games to put on websites like Newgrounds or Kongregate, or maybe for android or iOS, and see how that goes.

 

The more I'm thinking about it, the more I'm determined to pull this off... if I get a change to switch to music/arts school, I'll do it...

I must've expressed myself badly... I'm sure I'd love to do it for a living, but I am unsure how will I do... I'd love to do creative work, like a developer/designer, for instance... That would involve learing how to sketch and draw better, but the inportant part is also imagination... I found I'm not the kind of person that would be satisfied by manual work, such as coding. I intended to start a project while ago and it still sits on paper. But now that I think about it, I've done that part I was talking about. I've designed a game, world, mechanics, everything about it. It's ready to be coded, but I've never got myself into it...

That was also the reason I started rethinking the way I'm walking right now... I've never thought about it... most of my life I was preparing to become a coder, preparing for the IT university I study at right now... but I realised I'm not really into coding - a thing that now should become my living...

If I could also study music and composition, it would help me to bridge the gaps when I won't have an active designer job and of course it would be something I've been doing most of my life... I feel quite determined right now... I'm going to work for it and I'll see... maybe dreams can come true!

You could always start out by doing some simple pixelart, you can focus more on the coding aspect then.

 

The last few weeks have been surpisingly...Nice,
I finally got into that course i wanted, so I can actually finish school, I figured out that i LOVe to cook, MLP had it's Anniversary, Cube world had updates,
I was able to get Financial support so that I'll be able to live NEAR said course.
Things are looking fine, You've gotta fall deep, to get up high.

It can be funny, but for some people it can probably be quite a sad or traumatic thing to joke about. Just be sure you know before making those sort of jokes to people! (Also we all love you here, CrudMuffin )

 

Huh thanks for calling me out on my shit. No really, thank you. I've had experiences knowing friends and talking to them hours before death so I think about it subconsciously all the time, so much so that I forget that other people feel bad about their own experiences with suicide. I'll stop doing that now and keep it to myself, the way some things should be. (Someone give me a quill and parchment, I need to send this crud out to princess Celestia asap).

 

Hey, those are great news to hear! Cooking is great... I never got into it before I moved to different city to study college... it turned out to be extremely handy (and money saving)...

And can that be @Spike is back in BBTS? It's been a long time, how have you been?

Don't worry about it that much... only thing is that people take and deal with suicides (and death overall) differently... you know, if you actually wanted to talk about it at any time, don't worry posting it or sending me a message... I've found that sometimes people feel bad about something but don't want to bother others, so they keep it to themselves... it's not that they would actually bother anyone, in fact, most people would be happy to help

It has happened that I watched the Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony (formerely BronyCon: The Documentary) documentary... it's a great piece and it shows a lot about the brony culture and fandom... I'd recommend anyone to check it out, being brony or not... it helped even me to realise a few things...

... and one of them is I simply have to make my way to BronyCon (there's a thing about BronyCon that's stuck inside my head... it is actually possible to attend BronyCon as a staff member. That includes paid entry, housing and food in exchange one will have to work while here... well, for me that's two pros and zero cons (actually one con, to be precise )... maybe I'll actually have my chance to get there soon )... or Equestria LA... or B.U.C.K. (being an UK convention makes my chances of getting here soon not that slim as well...) Also if I'll be headed for B.U.C.K., who knows... maybe those of us here that are from Europe could meet up on the way there!
