Yeah, I tought that it was time for a new Avatar, I used a Template and just recolored it, since I suck at drawing too much
Taptalk is phone exclusive right? I go straight on the bbts site. Oh, and I heard the new episode was good, you watch it yet?
Has anyone here ever read Fallout: Equestria or its spinoffs? I've been reading Project Horizons, which has been pretty damn dark but also some very entertaining reading.
As have I. Project Horizons is pretty good for a spinoff, so I'll have to see what the original is like as well.
I got into the series through Scorch/Crazedrambling's dramatic readings, and overall found them pretty damn good substitutes to the podcasts I normally listened to while doing tedium or lying in bed at night. I've tried to get into Project Horizons through Crazedrambling as well, as he started dramatic readings of the series a while ago. However, I got up to the Spoon scene, and everything up to that point, mixed with the fact that Crazed has gone radio silent just like Scorch did in the middle of his project slowly drained my interest in the sister story. All that said, if you want a personal suggestion, I recommend Five Score Divided by Four as well as it's largest sister series, The Last Crusade. I don't think the latter is completed yet, but- *checks just to be sure, missed the final three chapters being added* well NEVER MIND THEN, seems I have something to continue reading immediately after this. Anyways, FSDF is a very interesting "What if" scenario that, while I can't get TOO into it without spoiling some major things in the story, tells a really neat story of what could have happened if Discord wasn't reformed in Keep Calm and Flutter On, managed to throw Equestria into chaos, and the ripple effect that causes. The Last Crusade runs parallel to FSDF and focuses on characters integral to it, and again, that's about all I can say without spoiling FSDF.
Rainbow Dash: Brain Shadow. Aha, snowbird. Bad rains, how? Bad Iran show. Bah, Soar-Wind. Washboard in. Fluttershy: freshly tut, lefty hurts, elf thus try, let thy surf, fry shuttle, the fry slut(or the lust fry). Come for more anagrams, feed me all your words!!
I can't get into the Fallout: Equestria fics since I grew up with Fallout. F:E and it's spinoffs are far darker than the game they're based on which was comprised of dark humor and player reaction to said dark humor. The only Fallout fic I've been able to enjoy was Pink Eyes, but mainly for the feels.
I didn't really like it. I heard PH was super hammy just like the original and overrated, as well as longer than a spaghettified horse member, so I try to avoid it. FoE is definitely... grim and dark, but it's nothing to write home about there. KKat is really nice, so it's nothing personal there.
You should put more "applejack eyebrow" gifs in your signature, there#s the discord episode one, And there was one in one of the recent episodes.
I personally liked Fallout: Equestria for two reasons. One: Its humor. Sure, it gets grim at times, but that doesn't mean it lacks a sense of humor at all. You need a bit of a more cynical mindset to find the humor funny, but then, the same can be said of most of Fallout's humor. Two: It's cleverly written. The antagonists, the conflict, the resolution, and every detail in-between was EXTREMELY well thought out. From the seemingly minor ponification of certain Fallout elements so they'd work in the MLP universe (ie. SATS. Bloatsprites, battle saddles, etc.) to details that are included early on that only really make sense after fully reading the story, the guy put a LOT of effort into the story. Is it dark? Sure, but so is the source material itself, and it doesn't really get much darker than the darkest parts of Fallout. (PH does get darker though. MUCH darker. So... yeah, wasn't a huge fan) All this said, I can understand why people would dislike it. It's definitely not for everyone, but a fallout fan NOT liking it is rather surprising to me.
