Actually, she just ended up eating the pickles. Only one person got any for sandwiches, and it wasn't me. EDIT: I should note that I passed them to her semi-willingly, fearing that I'd not have gotten away had I not sacrificed the pickles to allow me to escape.
Lol That... that's a really intense situation- at least for me since now at college all I do is sitting around waiting for something to end. I have a story from my friend who carpools with me about a fellow employee that got arrested, but I don't know if I should mention it since it's not as funny as imagining the stare you gave the woman as you handed over the pickles.
I'll be honest. I've played Street Fighter. I've played Soul Caliber. I've played almost every Marvel vs. Capcom game to date. I've played Skullgirls. I've played a LOT of fighting games in my time, but never found one that I genuinely liked. And all the time I've spent on all those games combined? Not even a fraction of the time I spent playing the Fighting is Magic leak and Tribute Edition. Mane6? They did something to the formula. I dunno what it is, as they didn't remove the combos or anything, but they did something to make their game fun. They made it look fun, they made it sound fun, they made it feel fun. Fighting is Magic was, at it's very core, fun, even though that core was extremely limited. And now that core is being rebuilt with even better materials, less limitations, and a universe all its own made by the mother of some of the best cartoons to date. Take it from a man that's never been all that into fighting games, take it from a man that played the predecessor, take it from a man that has been keeping the sharpest eye on this project since just past square one. Does it look pretty good? Because I guarantee you it'll be even better. They are pouring their soul into this, and believe me, it shows.
I think the reason you might like it better is because it's based off of something you love and you know the people/work behind it. My own experience is Smash Bros. where I know the characters and the staff. I can't get into Street Fighter or Marvel Vs. Capcom because comics and Capcom were never part of what I really enjoyed. That, and I knew who Masahiro Sakurai, Satoru Iwata, and Shigeru Miyamoto were and how they felt, while I had no idea who was behind these other games. I admit the ones I don't enjoy are good games, but there's a feel of familiarity to smash that I can't shake off like the one you might have for the FiM game coming out. Anyways, I gon get some sleep! Sayonara my across the world companions, I'm out!
A heartfelt and reasonably convincing (to me) statement. I'l have to see if I can scrape up $15 to $40 within the next 27 days or so. This is not as easy a task as it should be.
Oh, Them's Fightin' Herds are all around the internet now... I guess you all know it by now (at least @firekirby135 ), but the characters are actualy designed and drawn by Lauren Faust herself! The game itself looks really great... funny thing is, I'd guess the devs have all the resources they'd ever need by now thanks to the game becoming so famous... but as it is said... great goods promote themselves... Beside that, something unbelieveable happened... I actually got to start watching the show again... thanks @Igeloi for pointing out Dailymotion to me... there's literally like every show you can think of... I guess the French don't really care that much ... and the Filli Vanilli has got to be my most favorite episode so far... I haven't watched anything beyond it (S04E14), but it had everything I could think of... Flutters, Flutters singing, vocal quartet, interesting plot, plot twists (I swear, when they came to Zecora's place I immediately knew who's going to sing the bass...), conclusion to the entire story... the only thing I din't get was the Pinkie's acting... I know she's supposed to act "random" and stuff... but that seemed straight cruel... I don't think the character would ever go that far, to be honest...
Agreed on the pinkie thing, everything else was great, but it feels like she was being a douche for no reason. I understand that she's supposed to represent the friend that doesn't know that they are saying mean things and unintentionally hurt others, but they could have been a bit more subtle with it like get twilight to do that role to show that level headed people can accidentally do this. Or maybe rarity.. or actually anybody but pinkie. As for the new game, I didn't know Lauren Faust drew them! That's a cool little tidbit that I'll take into account when going into the character design.
Personally, still think Slice of Life holds the #1 spot for me, right next to Leap of Faith. You'll probably figure out rather quickly why I really like the former. Not only is she in charge of Character Design, she's in charge of EVERYTHING to do with the storytelling part of the game. The lore, the character personalities & backstories, basically everything surrounding the universe of Foenum is designed and written by the almighty Fausticorn.
I'm actually looking forward to watch more episodes! yeah, it is quite possible there are episodes I'd like even more... but so far the Filli Vanilli had all it takes for me to like a thing... especially songs... I am really fan of Ingram's work... to be honest, when I saw my first episode, the song Winter Wrap Up was what actually got me interested... I was willing to look for something more that was hidden beneath the surface, just because there was a high quality song composed to tell the episode's story. It's that extra piece of effort that makes you believe there was a lot of it put into entire episode... ... and honestly... songs again were what brought me back after two years
Wow, that's amazing! I would marry the wonderful woman if I was 20 years older and she wasn't married herself. Then again, that would mean I have to look at my mediocre-ness every time she gets a paycheck.
So after being computerless for a month because SOMEONE decieded to wait that long to tell me the motherboard was corraded (thanks Best Buy) I have a new computer and hell this one runs Starbound even smoother, oh also the update is really fun feels good to be back in the game and here, missed you guys
That's great news! I believe we must have missed each other... soo... nice to meet you! It's good to see more and more people appearing after it looked like this place was going to die
I was wondering if you got bored or if you simply had anything better to do than be here(which is very much understandable). Glad you're back to have some of the greatest, useful and most intimate conversations on earth such as: What sounds better, chimichonga or cherrychonga?
Dunno why, but whenever I see the report button I wish to click it for the sake of doing so. On another note, when I see a person I really want to know and be acquaintances with, I severely want to punch them in the face or make fun of them. It's actually more of a compulsory thing than a "want" really; I think it's my brain telling me that it's in the realm of possibility and thus reminds me so, forcing me to try my best not to. Completely off topic: Let's write short, random quips of dialogue that makes no sense. Or says a lot about you in strange ways: Ex: ---So yes, the flying unicorn passed over my house, so what? I'm not going to tell these coppers anything. The two gigantic pennies leaned over to me and said, "Son. If you're not going to speak, then we're going to kick the crap out of you." I smirked and looked up. "But you guys don't have legs, and I don't have poop." They rolled away unmenacingly as I howled to the moon trying to gauge how close the sunset was to the sunrise. Surprisingly close. I knew what I had to do, seeing as time was running out of my house in a strut like manner. I loved this house and everything in it, so of course I didn't want to burn it down with the lemons- but I had to, for my friend: the flying(anthropomorphic) unicorn with a dead leg. --- It doesn't have to be that long(it can be a sentence or two), so if you guys want to do that, then cool. Goodnight!
