I'll be honest, Fallout Shelter was cool and all when it released, and the hype was pretty high. But this might be, hands-down, the most hyped I've ever been for a mobile game in my life. Ever.
I got to admit... the trailer is pretty epic... augumented reallity is pretty great technology... it would get even better with Oculus Rift or Project Morpheus support, along with something like Raspberry Pi that would be capable of merging the game directly into one's sight... now that's going to be through phone camera only... which, sadly won't allow for that huge epic moment we saw in the end of the video... ... I really like the concept though, but that's probably the most I can appreciate... like, here, in Czechia, we've never really had pokémon. This culture barely got here, just few peices here and there, it didn't get popular... so... I recall seeing few episodes of the show, I even have like one of the first editions of TCG cards... but I missed most of the universe...
It doesn't seem to be AR tech, actually. I don't know if you're familiar with the mobile game "Ingress", but it's apparently gonna be "Pokemon X Ingress" gameplay-wise. (makes sense, considering the main dev team behind it MADE Ingress, so...) If you're not familiar with it, Ingress is a GPS-reliant game where there are certain points on the map that, if you visit them irl, you can fight over to help your team get stronger than the other teams. Obviously this'll work differently, most likely with Pokemon instead of what I believe they call "Power Points", without a faction-based PvP element, and with a lot of the elements we've come to love from Pokemon games. I'm not sure of very many more details, but one that probably helped boost the hype for me was the peripheral, which is called the Go Plus. In short, it's really just a one-button pager that lets you know when things are happening and lets you do simple stuff without having to get your phone out. Not all that necessary, especially for a free-to-play mobile game, but it's one of the first peripherals I've seen made exclusively for a mobile app, and it just looks really neat. =3
It's surprisingly not that obvious distinguish what tech does the game actually use just based on the trailer... as all trailers, it tends to exaggerate... my bad... based on the fact they were "seeing" pokemon in real life made me think it's supposed to work on AR basis... I haven't heard of Ingress, though... it's concept sounds liek something I wouldn't mind playing... Though, to be honest... I like the idea of incorporating a game into the real life... but if the only factor is your GPS location, and the rest would happen on the screen of your phone, that would make me a bit disappointed... I'd really expect at least AR functionalities, if we were to talk about "pokemon in real life"... ... that would I think when looking at it as a ground-breaking game concept... but if I think of it as a pokemon game with the added element of real life places where you could find your pokemon, that sounds really great and as a pretty significant improvement!
There does seems to be some recognition of where you are that appears to change the background when encountering Pokemon. I doubt it has anything to do with the camera, but regardless, I'm prepared to MAKE the game immersive with AR when it comes out and I start catching Pokemon. (Pokedex 3D Pro ftw) Pretty sure that's what they're going for, yeah. My curiosity lies in stuff like how they'll handle which types of Pokemon are where, if all Pokemon are in the same places for all players, if they'll move, if they'll be taken off the map if someone catches them, if they'll respawn should the prior be true, if/how they'll be handling legendary events, if there'll be leveling/evolution/battle items, stuff like that.
Holy crap, and I thought both Obama becoming the first Black US president and the gay pride parade were the most hype things to hit NewYork. I was wrong. Well since we're talking about games here, I might as well say something to you from games: "Welcome back. Welcome, to BBTS. You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest remaining urban centers. I thought so much of BBTS, that I elected to establish my administration, here, in the citadel, so thoughtfully provided by our benefactors. I am proud to call BBTS my home. And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through to parts unknown, welcome, to BBTS. It's safer here." Yeah, it sucks when a Half Life two reference is all I can think of when I think of saying hi.
Hi hi! I need to play Katawa Shoujo again... Or rather, play a route other than Hanako's. Someone should make an SFW mod for me.
I replayed it a few days ago and then read Sisterhood: True Edition, and my feels got feely again. I just can't help myself. I considered Rin, but Hanako Also, In the options there's a "Disable H-Scenes" Option. Even so, I find that they're better on. They're not there for the fun of it, they actually help add to the story/flesh out characters in their own ways. Try it. It's a Visual Novel, and it will take your feels and make them feely. I love it so much.
To be honest, I felt the Hanako one was pretty forced. Although that's probably the protagonist's fault. I don't like that guy. But unfortunately the option only replaces the CGs, not the sprites. So it's still NSFW :/ In other news, has anyone here gotten Super Mario Maker? I got it yesterday and it's pretty cool. I only wish things would unlock faster.
The H-Scene feels "Forced" as you put it, because neither of them were really ready for it, and I doubt either of them really understood what they were doing at that moment. Hanako thought that Hisao was only going to go through life trying to protect her, not be her friend. That was her way of trying to start a relationship between them. Hisao was attracted to her before it happened, for a while, but he never said anything because he didn't know/think Hanako emotionally stable/etc to deal with a relationship. And, as she saw anything her friends did for her as making her a burden for them, If he asked her out, she might say yes out of guilt/etc, instead of actual "I want to go out with you". The H-Scene wasn't really anyone's fault, TBH. Hanako had no idea how to give Hisao the idea that she's interest in him without making a fool of herself/etc, in her eyes. And Hisao is probably as confused as Hanako in that moment, too. It's not the best start to anything, but in the good end they patch that up and move on. I don't know how well that was explained, but it's the best I can. I'm terrible at explaining :/
That sounds better than I remember. It's been a while since I played and I probably skimmed that part. Basically all I remember is Hisao seeing a naked girl in front of him and dropping his pants. It's not until afterwards he realizes that Hanako didn't necessarily want that.
No, She wanted that. Well, "that" being a relationship/Hisao to realize that she's not as fragile as she looks. She didn't know how to do it, so she did it the only way she could think of. Good ending is Hisao and Hanako meeting up and talking and realizing that hey, It only made them more confused. They talked it out, broke down the "Walls" both of them had up, and cried for a bit, before realizing that that it was fixed and they could be happy, as such. Honestly, you need to re-play it with the idea that for most of it, Hisao's trying to protect her and be her friend. Everything makes so much sense then, and it's a big mess that gets made in the end.
Yeah, I guess I must have had the wrong idea about them. Although Hisao's totally still a pervert. Also if anyone out there has Super Mario Maker, give my levels a try! I've made three good ones so far (in my opinion).
